The price difference is high in percentage but minimal if both are per month.
Easy connectivity in game, ability to talk to anyone in game, not having PC in living room 8even tho my PS3 is on my PC desk), no incompatible versions between users or servers and ofc not having to invest in PC (remember many console users don't have PC for game use).

Downside is that Vent/TS3/etc options are great and those would be lacking.

If you are going to charge so high for the ability to chat with eve players, you must be aware that most EVE players never use in game chat. At LEAST have the decency to let it connect to a multiplatform service as part of the cost.

The problem is that you need to spend much more than 50 cents to get the Aurum in the first place. Sometimes people just can't make online purchases. The big problem here is that in order to communicate effectively as a corporation, EVERYONE needs a UTV.. And if just a few people can't get it.. Then Corporate communication breaks down. What CCP should do is allow anyone to connect to Corp Voice in a listen only mode for free and to be able to speak, they need the UTV.

I'm pretty sure people plan to play this game for at least 4 months, so that's really non issue You can always go to gamestop and buy a PSN Gift Card for I think as low as $5, so no online purchase needed. Eventually UVTs will be purchasable from other players for ISK on the secondary market, so everyone will have access to them anyways.
