So I have my active booster sitting in my assets, and from everything I've read, even if I plug that bad boy in, I'm capped daily (albeit higher than non-boosted) on my SP gains.
This sort of leaves the 30 Day Active Booster only useful to people that plan on playing every single day, which does not include myself. While this might be a "tough ****, play more" I also think its an unwise marketing choice and screws the player base. There's a thread in General Discussion explaining how much of the booster time is actually wasted, even while playing every day.
What I believe needs to happen is the boosters need to be tied to a cap that is the sum of the days they cover. So, lets say 30 days is 1.5 million SP (when boosted each day), then this pool should be able to be earned regardless of how many days the player actually plays. When it comes to the 1-day implants, nothing would change, but casual-types are really not going to want to buy the bigger order items and will opt for a couple 1-days a month instead, and walk away frustrated and cry like me on the forums.
The free players will still have their hard caps on a daily basis, and the passive should keep doing what it does. But I believe this is the best hybrid method to cater to both casual and hardcore types. The downside is the hardcore types will hit their monthly cap in a week most likely, but hey, they move by leaps and then crawl with the rest of us. They'll just have better **** in bursts.

I think with this daily SP system (which is supposedly temporary) CCP rendered Boosters worthless. I would expect it to be fixed soon as they finish their content patch they've been working on, considering Boosters are a money maker for them. We all stop using them, they have to fix the SP system.  |

Yea, I don't play nearly enough to warrant using the 30-day or buying anything more than a 1-day every so often (and even then, I'm pretty far behind and don't know if I'd keep it up, since that 10K extra SP isn't going to matter when I'm millions behind).
I absolutely would buy a 30 day passive and active, provided I could grind up a long weekend when I get time.
