They just need to get rid of the AH PANIC NADE button and make a switch mechanic where you have to switch to the nade and then press R1 to throw it and then pull back up your gun. If you are going to throw nades it should make to vulnerable to someone gunning your down for a few moments. Just make pressing L2 like pressing R2 to swap weapons.....make L2 pull up and swap between equipment (Nade, Hive, needle) |

Right now, right after a wipe, it is a very different game. Everybody is exceptionally fragile right now, making the higher damage militia gear like grenades and shotguns seem extra effective.
I'm not too concerned about panic 'nading, because I constantly forget which type I'm carrying. I tend to blow myself up with contact explosions or toss harmless AV 'nades when trying that move. |

Basically best defense against this it to be far enough away that they would have to actually aim their nades some before tossing. |

I notice it seems to be the new panic button oh no iam going to die ill lob a gernade, +1 to the having to select it idea this would drasticly reduce the panic button when someone starts to lose the fight and make it a tactical desision do i shoot or doo i use gernades |

I like the idea to have L2 switch between grenades and equipment, but really what needs to happen is to lengthen the the fuse on the locus grenades so you have to cook it to use it effectively against suspecting people. I think 4-5 seconds should be good amount of time before the grenade blows. |

I like the cooked grenade idea, was running as a militia heavy today and died the first 4 times to grenades. Can't say I can complain too much though, because I laid a nanohive on top of one of the builidings and spammed grenades for a minute.
It's just too easy to tap L2 on a wish and a prayer. |

Returning the fuse to what it was before they tweaked the throwing mechanics would be enough of a fix, that way if some fool does spike a grenade at his feet in terror you've still got a few seconds to get to safety. |

Same last game I played last night I kept dying to the same guy because I'd just about kill him then he'd lob a grenade. My problem though was I had no time to react by the time the nade hit dirt I had about a second to get away which is to say most often I didn't or got away with like 16-20 armour and he'd just shoot me once and I'd be dead. Nades need their longer fuse back and maybe add skill bonus to the nade skill to decrease time until it explodes so if you want these dast exploding nades you have to put skill points into it not just be given the insta explode grenades because as they are locus grenades are just far too spammy. |

The nade spam is kinda out of control. It sounds like those times we had 4-8 mass drivers on our team, except it's only me using one.
Chalk it up to the militia grenades having enough damage to kill advanced suits and everyone being in militia. Free kills all around from an item that is almost unavoidable. |

It's like the sniper spam from the last wipe...it's easy kills now. Once you couldn't OHK everything on the field with a militia sniper rifle it went away. Once people start building their shields up and grenades stop being a magic kill button it'll die down. I've already run up on a coupe of these idiots and had enough shields to survive the grenade and it's kind of funny to watch them stand there confused right before I redecorated the wall with their face.
The 2-second thing is still kind of dumb and I can't tell you how many times I'd gun some idiot down with my HMG only to be killed by their suicide grenade but that's another issue. |

I don't agree with the people wanting to switch between grenades and equipment. The draw-time on a grenade already seems longer than other shooters, while the max distance seems very short to me. I do think a 5 second fuse would be a nice variant, but the Militia grenades only come with 2 rounds for them, take a while to toss out, and don't travel very far. I mostly play with a sniper or laser gun, they aren't good up close. Dropping a grenade at my feet to deter a direct pursuit is a tactic.
Making grenade worse is not the solution for suicide grenades. A better fix is what other systems use and give you credit for the kill if you "assisted" in the self-death |

Longer timer is the answer with cook for shorter effect.
That said many ppl including myself have all our merc pack goodies back which mean fused locus nades(no timer, straight blow up on impact).
Fair warning my dragonfly shotty will be rocking those till i can move back into std logi/md/flux combo. So if you see me run cause i got nanohives and nade spam addiction till they are all gone, ive only died 3 times with that suit so ive still got 47 more uses unless i buy another merc back..
Consider it payback for all the stomping i took when i first came onto this beta 3 weeks ago. |

I hate nade spam put back a 5 sec timer on them. Why should we buy contact nades when normal grenades allmost behave just like them with a 2 sec timer. Before it was skill cause you needed to cook the nade. Now every moron throws them when they loose a gunfight. It goes even so far that you can do a areial denial job with nano hives and simply spam nades out of cover. And if you are near a supply depot its getting worse. |

If they had a longer fuse the same tactic will allow them to throw one well timed grenade but then the rest will give the enemy more time to get out of the area.
Also militia grenades are practically free if you want more and better grenades skill into it. |

I love the morons that argued for the 2sec timer fuse as good for newbs.
Turns out they are horrible for newbs as they are the ones getting killed by the nadespamming, geared players could mostly ignore it.
