I always avoid forums like those in regards to DUST - obviously many are upset it's not on there $2,000 PC rather then a console anyone can almost own. And a big piece of info they're missing: More console FPS players on average then PC FPS players these days. Though I admit it's because of the Xbox >_> Ps3 potential is still there - DCU would of faced the same criticism had they not made a PC port - and the numbers they raked in from the PS3 side alone made them a success. How anyone can pick up the stance that this will fail simply because it's on a console just sorta... feeds into the idea that a lot of people are better off under a rock.

They are backwards too , from my knowledge games are developed on the PC and if they are successful are ported to the PS3/xbox360 etc. And another interesting fact, I can guarantee the people wanting dust to fail are absolutely terrible at playing FPS games on console (when i say terrible i mean dies 86 time in one match and still can't figure out how to fire) PC's that can play games like call of duty,battle field etc cost a fair bit of money for a decent PC you need to spend about 800 bucks for a console you need about 300 if not less. To prove more of them wrong (mainly the guy in the first post Dust 514 wil never see the light of the Xbox 360 fo the reason that Microsoft doesn't like the idea of having "other people" (CCP) that aren't wearing the micro$oft choker chain poking around in there servers, especially if they aren't making any money off it . nuff said some eve players are dumb, these fine fellows are a shining example of dumb.

In regards to DCUO, the PC version runs better, has less bugs, looks slightly better, has a better community, gets more marketplace deals, gets more direct dev involvement, has test server access, and is generally all round a better game. But the PS3 version's population still outnumbers PC by several levels, and the PS3 also generates over 70% of all the revenue. The OP of that thread shouldn't underestimate the power of the console market.

Pretty much EVE is filled with trash. Not people I want to associate with. Proud of being thieves and backstabbing one another. And their hatred, vitriol with bad boi posturing is beyond the pale. The good news is it is a place for the creeps to hang out together. I am sure there are good people on Eve. I suspect that they have to fly under the radar or get gang mugged by their friends in the Eve community. Which is why I have never read a posting by one. Fine for them. The Free version of Eve has too high a price, IMO.

I'm a new player so I know first hand how willing many of the players are to help out newbs, I've met only nice people there so far. I play DUST as well so not picking sides here, just thought the EVE community needed a voice in this thread. Really the EVE players and DUST players are all brothers(and sisters) from another mother :) This whole concept of a shared universe operating cross platform on a single server could be the most epic thing in video game history, but ultimately how successful it ends up being, is up to us, the player community.
