The biggest advantage of the Assault suit is that the type II can run shields much better than a logi can with its 205 shield stat. However, the logi can fit one more low powered slot in every suit, and has a ton more pg/cpu to run those extra modules.
Using the logi suit can be a wonderful assault class as long as you fit it right. For instance, don't expect to equip more than 1 or 2 equipment even if you have 3 slots. Better yet, if you can run the type II suit, you get faster movement speed for the one equipment slot you won't need.
The reason I say this is that while the assault suit is fine for any kind of combat, it lacks the pg/cpu that the logi has in order to fit the best modules, and multiple of them, alongside a sidearm/grenade/ equipment.
This is a good post. Assault suits can run shields and handle damage mods alot better due to not having to use up CPU on equipment.
I disagree with not using all of the equipment slots as you are negating the point of using a Logi suit, if you are having troubles with fittings then you must grab nanocircuitary V it will decrease the CPU requirements for the nanohives and injectors by 25% b aware "basic" equipment in the market has very low CPU requirements try fiting bits of that.
I can normaly fit a nanohive, repair tool and injector very easily on a tier I suit. Im doing that with a GEK already this build.
Skills to help a logi would be light weapon upgrades or running a sub machine gun (becareful you will need a boatload of investment to make them competitive)
If you want to run Logi, then make sure you have good skills in armor repairers these are critical when trying to stay in the fight. Plus when combined with a Repair nanohive it gives your a drastic increase in your ability to hold 100% armor.
Another good mod is the shield regulator as it sits in the low slots and helps with keeping your shield up to protect what little armor you have. |
