Hi, I am new in the beta, and I've been searching around for an answer to this
First I would like to know if we can play with a keyboard and mouse. All I see is that it will be supported in the future, but is it supported now ? and is it working well ?
And I would like to know also if the majority of the community is playing with the controller or kb/m
Thank you very much |

It's been working for many months now, though the mouse sensitivity was severely out of whack until the last patch. I think there's a lot more kb+m users than you would expect with a console shooter, but I doubt there are any hard stats.

Actually you would be surprised how many people use the PSmove. I mean SHOCKED at the amount of players.

KB & M rocks. I got a cheap -ú10 wireless set that works really well. I'm much more accurate than using ds3. I've gone completely over to using kb & m and only use the ds3 for menu work (hate!). |

I used to use KB/M 2 builds ago, but then I realized it's kind of nice to slouch on the couch and use less hardware, and the limit on mouse sensitivity started to irritate me. So I forced myself to learn the DS3. |

I started on the controller, and found that my tracking was terrible. Hooked up a wireless KB/M, and saw my K/D ratio drastically improve.
I am just waiting for DUST to support key mapping... I don't like the current layout... and holding down the mouse wheel then doing some odd rotation thing to select your nanohive or nanite injector is just awkward.
Still.... never going back to combat with the controller. |

Tips: 1) kb-m works. Ps3 has a dcpi cap of 2000, so a mouse that supports such or close natively is sweet. Razer at 1800dcpi feels good for me, while MS sidewinder is bad (can drag all the way over mat without response, when dragged slowly). 2) there are some roles that can make good use of pad. Dropship pilots can make it work, and turrets that turn slow are ideal for it (railgun). 3) Logitech keyboards have gotten some good feedback. I'm using a ps3 wireless and it works. |

Sniping is a pain with the dualshock, but it's great for CQC run & gun. A mouse would be nice for laser rifles, though. |

I can't see how someone can play an FPS game with that yea and i have no problems staying positive. i might not go 50-0 but i prefer comfort at home over KDR. i never find myself saying "dam i shoulda had a kbm that fight".. it takes a couple months to get good at and i'm still getting better w/ everyday, you just don't see progress as fast but it is possible to compete with a controller if you stay in practice.
much of FPS skill is knowing when to disengage your enemy and not get over aggressive, if someones aim is super sharp you disengage and flank them which seems to be the kbm's weakness- dealing with flankers, and their kbm only comes to bear on you when they have you frontal at range imo. |

I wish I could use an Xbox Kinect to play this. |
