No, seems to be fine. Since the reset was announced and people started spending ISK and AUR on top-end guns, there has been a bit of an imbalance.
But that will disappear come Thursday. |

Yes, AR is OP. They should be changed so they only shoot out nets, that capture and hold the enemy. That way, you can knife them to death, or a teammate with a different weapon can come by and kill them for you. |

So much denial and fear that your precious gun will be nerfed. Everyone knows there isn't a point in using anything but an AR because your handicapping yourself. So if all other weapon systems are essentially less effective then either the AR is overpowered or all other weapons platforms are underpowered. If your using an AR consistently and not challenging yourself to try another platform your voice is moot. The reason that the hmg has less DPS than a SMG is because the 'elite' AR players qq like a baby back in May. Well you got what you wanted the great homogenization of Dust 514 is a reality and the difference between militia and proto is nill. Enjoy getting killed by exile AR's for the next 7 years. |

Also why they hell would you nerf -officer- weapons?!?! The whole point of them is to kill everyone. That's why you can only find em through salvage.

OP yes, and in the same sentence no. But here is why, they need to be more applicable more readily to a wider variety of situations then other weapons. Compared on paper, in practice and by statistics they are, and probably always will be OP. The AR is the base line weapon by which to compare all other weapons. (Based almost exclusively on the popularity of said weapon in its genera.)
However,for those rare few instances when the alternate weapon selection will be the better choice, where the AR can survive the encounter with a bit of luck and no small amount of skill, is what will make this game. I just hope at no point will the nerf bat swing so hard and often that the Perfect Imbalance portion of the game be lost . |
