CCP show heavies some love and give us a HMG blueprint. I believe every other gun class has one so why not? Fat people need love too. |

How about a tier 1 armor bpo? that militia suit is a joke. |

agreed, t1 heavy armor is made of tissue paper, not even worth being called heavy armor, more like tissue shield. |

True, but I'm really looking at it from the standpoint that the start-up cost for heavies is a little high, and a BPO weapon and a T1 armor will definitely help out in the beginning. Especially for the newer players. I mean starting out in this game as a heavy your already paying 30k a gun for a basic HMG and paying for whatever the militia drops cost if you don't have a skinweave suit, not to mention that the skillbook for the heavy drop is about 700k. Meanwhile, the AR guys are running around with their raven suits and exile rifles, scouts have the dragonfly/valor suits, and everyone is stockpiling isk. While heavies have to keep spending what they are trying to save for a class with higher cost than the others. |

why wouldn't the fresh people going for heavies start their career using the very same raven and dragonfly? You can be lethal with very very basic AR/light weapon skills. |

Honestly, no Heavy weapon should have a Militia variant. |

Dear lord this game doessnt need more people in fat suits and HMG's. Its allready annoying that i every 3rd player is using a fat suit. My thoughts about it: if you have no gungame then increase your amount of HP to compensate your lack of skill. You allready have skinweave and a new militia BPO heavy. |

A milita HMG variant would be an insult to disciples of the 'gun. We don't need it, and I don't want it. Nor do I want you to have it. |

Heavies don't die much, nor should they.
If you need a blueprint, you shouldn't be a heavy. |

there's a heavy militia suit?
tbh heavy in general is a joke. I just skilled into heavy till I got Type 2... I didn't bother with anything below that. |

Heavies don't die much? LOOOOL
You mean a GOOD heavy don't die much. Heavies die too easy for their asking price, and if you don't think so, you've never skilled into being a heavy. |

I can't speak for others, but for me it's simply just preference. I started as a logi for my corp, but we had no heavies so I decided to switch. I managed to make a decent build, but now we're starting over and I want all points towards one class. I don't want to put any points into light weapon skills if I decide to continue my role as heavy for my corp. Why should I if i'm a heavy, and there is already a militia forge gun so why not go all the way.

We're playing the I game I guess so it's my turn now. I like free gear. I wanted a free gun, so I came here to ask for it. That's what I do when I want something you see, so It's not about you it's about I. I think I won. If there was a militia variant already I'm positive you would have used it at some point already.

I agree with you to some extent. I have seen a lot more heavies as well, but i think it's due to the fact that people just want to try new things. I doubt we see that many heavies again since there won't be anymore resets. That whole gun game comment is bs. Ppl use is to degrade or cheapen the heavy class simple because they don't like it. I could easily say the same about guys who use lasers or mass drivers, or even tank drivers. What's even funnier is that their is a guy in your corp who uses a heavy suit and AR. |

I have thought about this a bit since you posted and I would have to disagree.
First, a Heavy is a special option quite frankly. And the Militia Heavy Drop Suit already exists. Now, it does cost 795 ISK which is basically nothing and in the range of the Militia Logi at 725 ISK.
If you are making reasonable ISK than you can pickup several dozen at a time when it is good to focus on your Heavy path.
On the other hand, it would sucker a lot of noobs into running them. We could use them for target practice and teach the noobs that don't get suckered into the slowest Drop Suit on the Dust Ball to not fear Heavies like they do now. Just learn how to take them out better. It would be even better if they set off Proxy Mines. And the free suit wouldn't have a Side Arm Slot.

I'm an assault guy and I don't like seeing heavies on the other end of my battlefield but the OP does have a point. It really isn't fair that all of the other suits have BPO weapons that they can use. It is only fair that heavies have a militia or BPO HMG.
If not possible, then let us know why so the community can make sense of why the heavies don't have a BPO HMG. However, if you do decide to include a BPO HMG, make sure it isn't close enough to an adv level HMG to the point that makes the adv level HMG useless. |

Not that I'm arguing with the OP, because I'm not but for the sake of clarity. Laser & Mass Driver Two guns which also lack a BPO. |

Everything militia is starter equipment or at least that's the idea. Every weapon that has a BPO is also universal as to what type of suit can carry it. For heavy weapons, heavies are the only ones capable of carrying them so that is a simple reason for lacking a BPO. To have a BPO of everything would make Dust a pay to win game and nobody likes those. |

Yes I see the point here but i guess one problem is the heavy can use all BPO weapons out there, whereas a HMG would be a heavy exclusive BPO that no other suit can use. |

Funny thing is that after playing day 1 on the new servers I can agree with you guys. It completely changed my stance for the most part. I mean, if CCP wanted to give a bpo HMG I wouldn't complain. The only thing that really needs to happen is a slight armor buff. I never really paid attention to armor until I had to run around with 100 shields lol. Armor really blows. |

LOL! Even with a T1 bpo armor will still suck. It needs a slight buff. |
