Is boring. Let me elaborate. Currently its a snooze fest 2/3 of the time and usually when u cap all objectives the game just drags on
Solution: Make Skirmish 2.0 MORE like Titan Mode from BF2142 Right now skirmish 2.0 is a half ass titan mode + BF style conquest.
For those that dont know titan mode from bf 2142 basically its skirmish 2.0 BUT u can board the enemy titan and blow it up from the inside when the shields have been dropped.
Implement that in DUST. Let us board the MCC if the shields are down and either end the game quicker or if peeps are losing make a last ditch desperate attempt to win by assaulting the MCC if they get the shields down.
Give us options. Add some URGENCY to the game so even a team dominating has to be ready and on their toes to counter a possible MCC boarding attempt.
One thing i keep reading from ppls posts on the forum is that skirmish 2.0 lacks that urgency in battles. Thoughts guys?
PS: Also bring back Skirmish 1.0 or something similar along with updating skirmish 2.0, hopefully by letting us board the MCC, to make it more exciting. |

even the old skirmish had a better sense of urgency than this one. u had to get the 2 defense relays down before ur MCC shields ran out or u would lose. so the 1st part u only had half ur MCC life to play with and back then a viable tactic was having rail tanks and installations attack the MCC causing dmg but u cant do this anymore in skirmish 2.0
they also removed RRing the MCC as well with the flight ceiling i think |

Meh, skirmish 2.0 mostly needs skirmish 1.0.... This "run around in circle" game mode gets on my nerve..... Less tactical than that is difficult.
how is it less tactical than the old skirmish? just because u are funneled into hot spots doesnt make it more tactical
its a "run around in circle" mode in PUBS because ur blue dots are always terrible. that didnt change in skirmish 1.0 either in skirmish 1.0 ur smurfs are just being funneled into hotzones that doesnt really make it more tactical |

Plus the BF2142 idea is brilliant, it adds a solution to the whole 'red-lining' issue, board the MCC and bomb it from the inside,makes the last bits of the game exciting for both sides, plus its not like it would be an easy task, would be a lot of cqc plus perhaps a more open cargobay area (?) that would definitely be challenging for any attack....
the key is it makes it exciting, plus to be fair it is different since no one has really tried to get back to that style and this already fits the bill.
Also, giving a last ditch effort for a losing team that already had shields down is brilliant too, makes it so freaking exciting. Imagine, got a team down on the ropes, just a matter of burning them down, but then things get silent and doesnt seem to be much resistance. Then someone yells over the mic that they have drop ships up and headed toward the MCC..... maaan the beauty of it, would make me tear up.
Dropship should be a method to get in, but perhaps also make a tougher method which requires you to get under the MCC or something (or not, and make that an option for people who have dropships)
yup and u got tanks on the other side scrambling to shoot derps with rails and derps gotta dodge rail fire an all sorts of AV hell to get their troops there for 1 last ditch attempt to win |

Redlines in the 1st 3 mins then waiting 7-10 mins fo the game to end is the most boring thing ever Give us an exciting way to end the match quickly and move onto the next one.
Ambush u can end a game quickly if the enemy is just that bad, skirmish needs that option but not just simply making the MCC take faster dmg if u control all points but instead something exciting so the losing team can pull a win out from the jaws of defeat if the winning team suffers a lapse in concentration |
