Since the rumors are pointing toward moving to Tranquility very, very SoonGäó, I've starting thinking about how I'm going to train again. I've tried most roles except for the heavy stuff. Personally, I'm going deep on logistics, mass driver and all the support equipment. One suit type. One weapon type. The nice thing is I can do a Type II or B logistics suit for some of the sneaky scout type jobs.
How about you? |

You inspired me to try that out. Running around with sharp objects is a lot of fun. I may slip and add that back in a little later.

Maybe that's why I enjoy running as logistics. I didn't max my role during this last reset but I did experiment with a few things.
A put together a few different types of builds to perform different tasks during an operation:
1. Infiltration: fast, good endurance, low profile, and hacking oriented. I've tried different weapons for this one but haven't settled. Once we no longer live under the shadow of a reset I may pick something to specialize in other than mass driver.
2. Assault Support: thick tank, good mass driver plus good quality nanite injector, nanohives and repair tool.
3. Defensive: my gone-to-hell fit that is a cheap version of the above so I can die more times without worrying about ISK so much.
4. Break-out: fast, good endurance, low profile with uplinks. Get out of the redline and help my team break-out.
I'll probably also create minor variations based on the type of grenades that I'm carrying. I normally bring AV because popping death taxes is just so satisfying but sometimes I need something else.
The other variation I played with but abandoned was remote and proximity explosives. I may resurrect that.
One suit. One (main) weapon. Plenty of variation to train into. After that I can naturally expand my role into the vehicle based versions of those as well. |

EnglishSnake wrote:Depends if the new build includes some useful changes and balancing
I would go tank but if it stays the same then i will prob be infantry and maybe train only to gunlogi, if ther are some real good changes and AV is balanced then tank again maybe fully but i somehow doubt it
I may run logi instead or assualt but i dunno if i will bother going upto proto that is if nothing changes
I get the impression that Chromosome will make the move to TQ and once they are sure that is stable then they will be following up with a content release.
What's wrong with AV balance? The only tanks I've killed as a solo logistics are the militia grade. I've spent entire matches hunting a single prototype tank with my swarms and the best I've done is make them go hide behind the redline.

With dropsuit command 5 and sensor dampening 2 sometimes I've felt invisible. I wonder if some people just use their radar to shoot people and don't see me standing there. It's made for some nice WTF moments when someone runs right past so I turn and pop them.
That Type-II scout suit does look interesting too for Ninja logistics. |
