Use cheaper suits As I stated in a previous post, it is not cost effective to run proto gear in public matches, my suit with all the fixin's runs 220k or so. If I die 2x I am losing isk. If I die once I might make 20-100k or so. I still run proto for different reasons (opposite team players, spawn into match behind on kills etc). So most of the time I run an "isk fit" which costs about 30-50k (depending on wep. type).

Match looking good and you see everyone working as a unit, pull out the better suits. That being said, I do think that Skirmish should put out more ISK, as the matches are generally much longer than ambush and one tends to head back to the clone tank much more often.
