I really really hope I am being real stupid and missing something but for the life of me I cannot find a reload button on the Move Sharpshooter set up! Has anyone else come accross this? Such a shame as the sharpshooter has a pump action reload function but it's still set up as an extra fire button!
I was proper chuffed the Devs had listened about a Sharpshooter set up but only half the job done and what appears to be a glaring error unless someone tells me different, oh well back to default settings |

It should still be the square, I thought? I'll connect my sharpshooter later and give it a try |

Square on the Sharpshooter still works for me. and the Reload button on the bottom of the Sharpshooter works as well. but the shotgun action does not work to reload. It just fires |

What does 'proper chuffed' mean? That one completely lost me!
Also...how is this beta with the Move/Sharpshooter?
I bought the Move when it first released for playing FPS games and liked it at first. MAG was great with the Move and it built me up some really high hopes for motion controlled FPS.
When the Sharpshooter was released I got really excited and bought it on day one release for playing KZ3 and the soon-to-be-released SOCOM 4.
Total disappointment hit me when I got it home and made every attempt to enjoy KZ3 using it. I don't know if they ever worked it out or not but those first few weeks of KZ3 were horrid with the Move/Sharpshooter. Those guys really had no idea how to properly implement the Move controller into the game and it was unplayable for me. I expected decent accuracy and instead it was barely usable and never stayed calibrated for the game.
Then came SOCOM 4 and...well....we all know the epic proportions of disappointment there. 'Nuff said!
Since about the second week after SOCOM 4 released my Move and Sharpshooter have both been gathering dust in the accessories cabinet. I keep them with the hopes of hearing about a new developer finally designing a new FPS that makes the Move/Sharpshooter a must-use accessory. So far I haven't heard the announcement so, there it sits!
Anyone really enjoying Dust with the Move? Is this finally the developer who knows what to do with motion controls in a FPS? Is it a must-use for this game or is it just another game that half-assed it with motion control for the sole purpose of offering something else to get use of the Move with? |

it has improved with each patch so there is hope! I sometimes have to recalibrate a few times in an evening but i find it pretty responsive. It definitely has further to go and I think we will be gettting full button customization in the game at some point which will be great for the sharpshooter. Personally I love the extra feeling of immersion it gives so I may be a little forgiving of it's faults right now but I already do better with it than with dual shock and if the devs continue their current trend it will improve from here |

If I am not mistaken, the pump-action physically depressed the trigger-button on the Move-controller, while the trigger on the sharpshooter is electrically simulating the same action (via the connector in the bottom of the Move-controller) Think of hitting the reload button as pushing in a new cartridge - not sure elevating/lifting the Sharpshooter to simulate a war-movie would be good for the calbration though.

nice idea except I have my sharpshooter on a camera tripod, hghly recommended by the way and facilitated perfectly with just some masking tape, but.... makes the RL button tricky to reach especially in a hurry!
literally canot wait for button customization and pump action reloading! lol!

Interesting idea with the tri-pod .. might have to buy one for the wife, to try out (she's the camera-nerd in the family).
Really doubt, however, that you can map the pump-action separately from the trigger-action - they appear to be the same, due to how the sharpshooter activates these. Perhaps you can map the 2nd trigger (or is that a Move button? Dont recall, not sharpshooter at work), but then you loose the gradual triggering and the burst-fire.
...talking of which, how is the burst-fire working? Does it react well enough?
Cheers, G

Weird. I personally loved Killzone 3's implementation of the Move ; thats the game that got me sold for the Sharshooter attachment. I finished the game 4 times on all difficulty settings just because I loved the immersion it provided. Sure the calibration went off a bit sometimes, but didn't affect me that much. I cannot speak for SOCOM 4 as I never tried it, but I sure was disappointed when got scammed by Ubisoft with the "Playstation Move Compatible" label they slapped on their Ghost Recon: Future Soldier game when in fact, its not even playable with the move since its only activated in Gunsmith mode, a gun customization tool.
As for Dust 514, I find it extremely difficult to play with the Sharpshooter compared to Killzone 3, but I am still a noob here... I am still sorting out which skills affects what and if its actually those skills which hinders my sharpshooter gameplay (i.e. Sniper Rifle Operation). One thing that I DID notice right off the bat though, is that the character's head/body does not make fast turn arounds. Let me explain ; In both games (Killzone 3 and Dust), once your reticle moves outside the deadzone, the character starts looking in that direction. So far so good, but where Killzone 3 actually gets its edge over Dust is where they implemented incremental turn speed ; the further away from the deadzone that you move the crosshair, the faster your character will turn towards that direction. |
