HEY LETS SHOW everyone OUR UNFINISHED WORK SO PEOPLE CAN STEAL OUR IDEAS :V

You may be entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to your pulled-out-your-ass fact.
1. CCP is not sinking and will not be sinking for a long time considering the astonishing success of their latest expansion, Retribution following their restored reputation with Crucible and Inferno.
2. According to Forbes.com, CCP is now one of the few remaining companies that are not only still operating under the now-dated subscription model for a given MMO, they are also the only company experience consistent rise in new subscriptions year after year despite CCP's setback back in 2011.

If you are going to judge CCP as a company, you need to start doing your homework first. It's obvious you don't know anything about CCP at this point just like how you demonstrated your lack of knowledge of how New Eden economics works in other threads you posted in while pretending that you know more than everyone else.
I'm sorry for coming across this way, but you are really starting to annoy me almost as much as the Imperfects with your ignorant posts and arrogant attitude. And it takes a lot for me to get annoyed by anything other than the Imperfects. |

Unlikely.

The development team is already underway on the next DUST 514 release. We will continue improving on existing systems, but this time around in a more noticeable way. The path you will take from login to battle will see a near complete re-write, where the goal is to get you into the game as quickly and efficiently as possible. The spawn screen and deployment sequence will be made more informative and easier to use. You will also be seeing a number of new environments to play in, new dropsuits, new weapons and modules, and new vehicle roles.
It doesn't explicitly say anything about moving to TQ from what I see, but that doesn't mean CCP won't change their mind down the road. |

Halo, so there .. what keeps nagging at me is the thought that Dust 514 is mediocre at this point because of its free-to-play nature? it's not like Unreal has not been around for years, or this is such novel concept as FPS. at the core, all of this has been done before already; the only actual novelty here is the inter-connectivity to the EVE universe. and coming from a company with CCP's accolades... well..
so i agree with those who thought "why not make an FPS first and model your way around that to add the networking/Eve universe jambalaya?"; 'cause it sure does not feel like it to me. then again, maybe am just missing the point as usual.
lemme get my heavy armor on before you guys start throwing rocks..
You are right that the pace is excruciatingly slow for even a closed beta, but we did demand CCP to take their time to make sure everything is going as smoothly as possible. In fact, many of us felt that the release for Dust in 2012 was too soon and that too many features were put in as opposed to addressing already existing issues that nagged us since Replication. Now that Chromosome has fixed all those issues and we are seeing progress on both Dust and Eve side of things, perhaps after the next build CCP should work on getting this game ready. But at the same time I don't want CCP to go rushing things like how big-name companies do nowadays.
In reference to other games like Halo, Far Cry, Elder Scrolls, etc. take a hard look at these games. Keep in mind that these games are finished and have been established for years already. Notice the bugs and glitches. They sure make Dust look complete by comparison.

Reason being next build I think is supposed to be open beta, and they probably can't add anything that major in without a new build. dosn't inspire confidence there are still things in this beta that still have isuse from day one so not being able to test a major part of the game is laughable Can see it now play dust the game thats been in beta since release
Play Eve Online the game thats been in beta since 2003.
Actually a lot of issues have already been addressed thanks to Chromosome. Let me list the bugs/glitches/imblanaces that have been resolved as of now or have been resolved for some time.
1. [INVALID FITTING] bug 2. Map icons straying out of place when you scroll through the map overview 3. LAV no longer catapults 100 feet into the air when you bump a small pebble. 4. Swarm launchers can no longer clear a room full of enemy mercs while shooting at the floor. Some now even require lock on to function. 5. Chat bug that enabled a merc from one team to hear the conversation of a merc on the other team. Sometimes, both mercs could talk to each other. I have not run into this anymore once Precursor was released so I'm assuming this has been fixed. Please keep in mind this was before squad chat and corp chat was introduced. 6. Hard Freezes every three matches. One player reported that his PS3 broke after so many hard freezes. |
