Attempting to download what appears to be a months worth of patches, 2628mb to be exact.
I have never really experienced long download times with PS3 software updates, but this one takes the cake.
First attempt sat for 13 hours (with over 800 minutes remaining), got to 45% and disconnected.
Second attempt (switched to Ethernet), 12 hours later, (1300 minutes remaining), 43% "Servers could not be reached" disconnect.
Is there something I missed?
Connection is tested at 25mps, the PS3 gets at least 3mps over wifi.

I am in WA also, It took maybe an hour for me? This was 3-4 days ago too i have xfinity.

In Oregon with the hated Comcast/Xnocustomerservice.
Took an hour at most. Fat PS3, upgraded disk drive with 200GB free. I mention the free space as one should check in case that is an issue. I seriously doubt it but touching all the bases is good. |

I have no idea what was going on, but I guess the third time was a charm. Only 12 hours this time but it finally worked. |

Necroing this post to avoid making a new post about DL times..
Is there anything that can be done about this? Even hard lined to my modem I can't get the patch for Dust to download completely. I'm already past my 8th overnight attempt to get this thing to download only to check it prior to stepping off for work and seeing that it has failed yet again.
NC, USA here on a 30Mbps connection. |
