That is why the militia grade was bumped up.
Exile x 1.05 = GEK. GEK x 1.05 = Duvolle
Realizing this...I'm not sure how I feel about the changes now. Because the militia wasn't buffed just to buff it.....but to ensure that the difference between the weapons were uniform (percentage-wise).
Any significance of this to you guys? My translation of what you just wrote, we dumbed the game down to cater kids who don't understand the game Or to ones who are bad at the game? If they have the same mod as the opposing enemy, then skill can be measured. The only skills measured are fps skills not any rpg skills, if I wanted a game that's tests fps skill I would go play COD/BF/HALO/ any other fps. |

Well, it does not sound bad to me, but you're not totally wrong... This!
1. Because weapons have other characteristics beyond damage. 2. SP based skills make the difference: weaponry 5 + ar 5 + ar profi 5 + militia ar >> minimal skills for gek + gek 3. Sharpshooter skill makes it even more visible -- +25% (IIRC) range at level 5 is crazy & noobs can't fathom what happened.
The more SP you invested the lamer gear you can use for pub matches. Alternatively the expensive gear (officer ARs, ZOMG) will be even more deadly in your heands. CCP just squished ONE weapon characteristic, there are others on the plate and there are skill modifiers.
EnglishSnake wrote:New tier system - dont have to lvl up if you want to, milita does just fine and no cost to you Lies. Make a new toon, don't invest in skills, play all militia against anybody with solid SP skills, then please come back and apologize for this FUD. Do remember to watch out for those swarms going around corners to hit you, those sound nasty.
EnglishSnake wrote:Essentially the old systems was very EVE like, harden the **** up and keep playing until you can also get into that advanced suit so you can pwn noobs with more tank, or lvl up your chosen weapon to be able to kill ppl in advanced suits but ppl complained that noobs and new players would find it hard to lvl up against these ppl and that they would be unable to fund them fits Somehow PRO suits still own noobs in militia 30:1 - 40:1, but please, keep on BSing. |

Would be true if AR were as easy to use as they were. But they arent. I'd say that militia AR are way less effective now that they were in codex despite the damage gap nerf. |

With the 10% from Weaponry and a single 10% damage upgrade this gives us:
Standard: 100% base damage, 120% with bonuses[387.5dps, 465dps for AR] Advanced: 105% base damage, 126% with bonuses[406.9dps, 488.3dps for AR] Prototype: 110% base damage, 132% with bonuses[426.25, 511.5dps for AR]
That's 124dps difference between a dirty ol' protobeast and a virgin recruit, with dispersion, range, kick etc., all being heavily in the protobeast's favor.
It's a 46 dps difference if the battle is broke protobeast vs. wealthy protobeast - in a quickdraw gunfight when the militia protobeast drops the rich protobeast will have at least 74 hp left, prolly more like 100 with the improved dispersion and recoil characteristics of the proto weapon.

That just means that a low level has to level up their skills, that's all. They can get weaponry lvl 5 and a complex damage mod before playing their first game |

They do this because AR was OP in the past, shotgun and other close range weapon are now at least a bit effective, every body here cry like a baby because you use AR .... Its boring listen at this |
