No.
1. Officer BPC as a reward for every 5,000 kills? That is just asking for abuse. 2. Officer BPCs as a random salvage is good enough. Besides, those things alone are freaking powerful. Don't make then less rare. 3. NPC corporations are only meant to be starter corporations. Nothing more. 4. This will just take away the player incentive to join player-run corporations. |

With a Player-run Corp:
1. The social aspect. The comrade. The bonds of friendship which is only obtainable by personally knowing your corp.
2. They will back you up whenever you need help.
3. A stead paycheck. Yes, there are already Dust corps handing out ISKies as internet paychecks like a real corp would do.
4. Shared resources. The CEO/Directors can distribute assets among the mercs who need them. Most of the assets come in the form of donations from the members who have no use for them but may be useful to someone else. Like a shared pot.
5. Teamwork. A level of coordination that is never seen in an NPC corp and you can join corp battles.
6. Most corps require players to have active voice comms so that communication is not an issue.
With an NPC Corp:
1. Some social aspect. Most of the members there will probably not even talk to you.
2. If you need help, it becomes difficult to depend on a total stranger to assist you.
3. No steady income. Your income is dependent only on your efforts.
4. No shared resources. You are on your own as to how you acquire them.
5. Some teamwork. Again, it becomes difficult to depend on a total stranger to work with you.
6. God know how many of those NPC members actually have voice comms. If they do, do they even talk?
Eve Online corps are a perfect example of the above statements. I have done my best to coordinate with a random NPC player in high-sec just to gank a simple mining barge. Not that easy to coordinate especially when the other player doesn't have comms.
========EDIT========
I forgot to mention that salvaged loot might one day be put up onto the player-run market so that you can be able to purchase said Officer weapon rather than wait for a random salvage drop. Pretty much renders your idea pointless. |

You do missions for the corp, somebody issues the quick battle contracts and pve contracts , right? You get loyalty points for that company when you have a victory on there contract, these can be spent in the company store to buy their stuff. Do enough missions for Ishukone and you could buy a Ishukone Watch issue dropsuit.
The LP would be mainly from pve missions, but the gear would be resold on the player market by some.
Something as a reward for kills on other side of the faction war would work too. Player corps can align with one of the npc militias, so it wouldn't reward not joining a player corp.
This I can see working. |

@Hecat,
You asked, yet you say you didn't read. Why did you ask then? |
