This game is tied to Eve. Eve has one of the hardest learning curves of all games out there. So below ill give you some tips ive learned:
1) Specialize! Figure out what you want to play and specialize in it.
Want to be a sniper, train your sniper weapon up to 5, then start working on drop suits, Light weapon upgrades and the like, perhaps learn drop link and nanite ammo drops to put behind you so if you get sniped you can drop in on the same spot and have lots of ammo.
Just focus on what you want to do in the game. The worst thing you can do is try everything. It will only weaken you in the long run
2) Its worth noting to get the Merc Pack from the sony store. can't afford it? mow some lawns or ask some old folks to shovel the snow out of there driveway. Then Start your 30 day active bonus + spend 7k aur on passive skill booster both are worth it. As well, There are some decient Blue drop suites you dont have replinish, they cost about 12k Aur, remember your specializing, so sniper can use the scout suit as an example, buy the blue one and keep using it over and over.
3) Items in blue are permanent items. You dont have to keep buying them over and over. What i did was picked the route i wanted to take and bought some militia blueprint items at first. This will let you keep earning ISK and exp with little loss. After a while when you get some good xp and isk then you can upgrade.
4) There is no team in i. Unless your a sniper, bring friends, your chances of surviving dramitcally go up and the chance one of them is a medic is even higher. Nice to be revived so you can get back immediately and start making more isk and exp.
5) Dont forget to upgrade your skills that increase CPU and Powergrid, it will help you fit all those cool items and gives you more flexibility.
6) Want to have fun with some tanks/dropships. Buy the militia version in the market place under Militia. Can buy tanks or dropships and fit them out deciently, not great but deciently. This will give you a cheaper way of learning how to pilot one of these.
7) Only use what you can afford to lose. Dont always use your best fit every drop. Sometimes when its a hot drop zone, go with the militia fit and if you survive find one of those resupply centers and fit your better suit if you want.
Hope these help! |
