So I'm looking at buying a new 'Assault' dropsuit. All I'm qualified for right now is a Type-1 suit and I see there are 5 different options to choose from. What I don't see is any difference in specs for any of them. All 5 Type-1 dropsuits appear to be the same exact suit with different names.
My first inclination was to buy the most expensive one available, figuring it would provide the best protection, most carrying capacity, etc. However, after checking the specs, they all have the same numbers. What's the benefit of paying 12,800 AUR for a 'RAVEN' suit when I can spend a paltry 6,800 ISK for the standard Type-1 Assault suit and have the same specs?
Could someone please help make sense of this? |

OK...so then, why buy the 12,800 AUR and not the 50 AUR? If both are unlimited then why spend the extra cash?
EDIT:
OK...forget this. I see where you already answered it. The 50 AUR suits are not unlimited...just different designs/colors/etc.
Would be nice to know where to find all of this info though. Seems like it should be in the descriptions so that you know whether you're buying an unlimited AUR item or just paying for design. |

Also...since this is new info to me...is that the same with all AUR items? Meaning..all AUR items are unlimited? Or is it just the dropsuits? |

Ya...sorry, I edited that question after I re-read the post.
Still seems like they could/should have put this sort of info in the description. How is one to know whether they are buying an unlimited item or not if it's not made clear during the purchase? Not everyone (like me) is going to want to search out and read every little nuance and instruction for every item in the game.
Most gamers I know don't really like to spend hours pouring through 1,000 page manuals before playing a game.

Thank you all very much! I was unaware of the BPO thing.
I started playing this beta the first week it became available in the PSN Store but the past couple days has been the first time I really took it seriously at all and this is the first time I've really been interested in working on building a character. Up until now I've just been logging on every couple weeks or so to see if it's looking any better.
When the game was first announced there were many of my MAG clan mates who showed interest but I have yet to find any of them actually participating in the beta so no idea how that's going to pan out. So...I've just not had much interest in jumping in with both feet...not knowing anyone playing and all. Hopefully will make some new friends over the coming days/weeks, and find some place to fit in.
Thanks again for the info and all of the help with this topic. I know it's my own fault for not keeping up on things but it's been difficult trying to stay interested when none of my friends are playing. |
