U'll likely have a covert ops dropsuit which lowers the CPU/PW requirments which will be too high for a assault/heavy to use.

I think they're going to change how cloaks work in Dust, otherwise they'll be useless...

Stab someone with a nova knife then cloak and move away
Cross the field cloaked to deploy uplinks
Pass enemy lines cloaked, hack objectives in the backfield, flee and recloak
Tag someone with a headshot, move away and cloak.
Have one squad mate play 'bate' while three wait cloaked for the kill
Hide while under cloak and relay intel to your team

There are more but suffice to say they wouldn't be useless.

1: What the point when the enemy can see you? If your not cloaked already, then the person your charging (unless you get him/her from behind) will see you and shoot you.

2: If you get near anyone, you will uncloak and get shot.

3: look at #2

4: only works aginst anti snipers, as you will be far enough away to where they would be the only person able to kill you.

5: look at #2

6: #2 could happen, but otheewise the only one that is useful... for only a deciated scout.

Why do people continuously assume that ninja knifers will only attack from upfront? Do people even realize the word "ninja" in the title of this profession? Does a real-life ninja ever attack from upfront? No. 2. You are assuming that CCP will impose the 1,500m decloaking range from Eve Online. That is 1,640 yards. Which is practically the entire map. I don't think CCP will impose that limit. In fact, I don't think they will impose any such limit in regards to range to other objects. When I ran the numbers through a converter I accidentally typed in 1,000m instead of 1,500m as the starting point. Silly me I will correct my post. Thanks for the heads up.
