Tank and stationary turret rotation is too slow. Also, rotating the turret with a mouse is tedious, takes one gazzilion swipes to do a 180.
That's all.

I guess you tried rail turrets?
Did you notice there are modules to increase its rotation speed?
FYI: Missile / Blaster turret have different rotation speeds |

FYI: Missile / Blaster turret have different rotation speeds The base is waaaay too slow. And also, fix the damn mouse rotation thing. Here is an example on how to fix it: In Battlefield 3, the mouse movement is "stored" until it has been completely used or overidden. So for example, if one centimeter of mouse movement = 1 meter of turret movement, but the turret moves at 1/4 of a meter per second, then if I move my mouse one centimeter, it will start moving by 1/4 of a meter every second, but unlike Dust it won't stop when you stop moving your mouse, instead it will continue doing it until there is no more mouse movement in the buffer. The only way to cancel it is to move your mouse again in a different direction. If you move it in the same direction again, it will add it to the buffer. |

Rail Gun turrets are meant to be slow. Kinda like the forge gun and other railgun applications.
If they were fast, it would require vast amounts of energy to wield and move. And a turret installation has to be a certain size in order to drop down, limiting the power output and CPU haul to rotate such a turret. It has big heavy coils and magnetized components plus it stick out a bit too, which means swinging too fast and then suddenly stopping could mess up the alignment of the turret, causing you to miss your intended target.

There is slow, and there is too slow. Rail guns are too slow. And look again what I said about BF3, I didn't say I want them to be as fast as BF3. |

well, now that i remember how slow the damn gun is...maybe a slight boost in speed slightly, ever so slightly.....tiny bit faster... |

Another solution would be if the sight would just follow your cursor. For fast turrets it would make no real change but targeting with slow turret would be much more pleasantly. |

It honestly does not make much sense why railguns should have such slow tracking. Judging on size, railguns have no more mass than a blaster cannon. As a result, the HAV should expend the same amount of energy to move roughly the same amount of mass. F=ma.... equal mass and equal force yields equal acceleration. There is no reason that a railgun should have such slow tracking. It already has a charge up time and large amounts of heat build up so faster tracking won't make it a more deadly anti infantry module. |

The Railgun should have just a bit lower tracking speed than Blasters and Missles should have the lowest, since they are the heaviest turrets. |

A railgun being able to turn fast would be like a heavy that was strong but as light as a scout. Besides if you are gonna use a railgun you might want to consider tank sniping with those its very effective with practice |

That makes no sense. It would be like a heavy suit being able to pivot like it does now while carrying a heavy forge gun.
Sniping from long range is fine, but some maps require travel to your target due to terrain. |

I partially agree. I think HAVs should be more agile in both movement and aim. Also, try tracking computers or tracking enhancers. They might just help you. |

Large turrets are fine. Small hybrids are so sensitive it's impossible to actually hit anyone with them without spraying. |

We need to be able to adjust the sensitivity curve of a turret control. I'd like the first half of the stick travel to yield a slow traverse and the latter half a much faster traverse. A nice smooth curve would make it feel natural. |

I tried using a railgun turret on my tank today (I normally use blasters). It was awful. I stood still for fifteen seconds while I tried to turn my tank turret 180 degrees, and using a mouse doesn't help. Tank turrets should not rotate slower than the tank itself. I could literally do a doughnut with my tank faster than I could turn that sexy turret. Main turrets should not rotate slower than the vehicle they are fitted to can change direction.
+1 to you, good sir. |

-Dusty the Dust Bunny Uh-oh, the VEHICLES ARE OP folks will be on this one in a hot minute. That's incorrect. Tanks are slow and have low maneuverability. The main turret does not turn fast enough to attack anyone behind the tank. You almost always need help from other mercenaries to survive as a HAV. Either on the ground, or in the turrets, you can't survive in battle against HAVs or AV without them. LAVs are pathetically fragile and I got more kills running people than I got assists from my gunner. Dropships go down to swarm launchers quickly if they don't get out of there soon, and you need other people to pilot the weapons systems, just like a LAV. All in all, vehicles are underpowered. |
