If this has been answered already could someone please point me in the right direction?
I've read the EULA and manual as well as searching for like half an hour here on the forums but I can't find a simple explanations as to what is kept and lost upon the final release. Could someone give me yes or no answers to these questions.
Is AUR kept upon final release? (From what I've seen some AUR is definitely kept.)
Will BPOs be kept upon final release?
If so, does that include both purchased and acquired (ex. vouchers and events)?
If not, will the AUR be refunded?I am asking this because in a lot of the other posts, I keep seeing it put as "purchased AUR." I can't find where it specifies purchased as the total you have purchased or what you have after spending some. "Any AURUM Pack purchases made during this beta phase will be credited in full to your in-game DUST 514 character account in connection with the commercial release of DUST 514." -quoted from https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=18203&find=unread and I'm assuming MorduGÇÖs Private Trials is a previous version of the beta.
If I received 20k AUR from the ps3 bundle voucher, does that count as "purchased" or will that not transfer over to the final.
Again, sorry if it's a repeat. Thanks in advance. |

Your AUR will be refunded upon commercial release. This means all bought with the merc pack or bought seperate from the merc pack.
your BPOs that you have received from either the merc pack (dragonfly scout suit) or that you have received from events (Skinweave, Quafe, Exile Assualt rifle) will be refunded to your commerecial character
anything you have purchased will be wiped... your character will be Wiped... all of these things are linked to your PSN account and once you create a new character you will receive these items again and be able to assign these items to your characters as it has been in previous resetss

OK thank you.
I still am wary of the word "bought." Do vouchers, ps3 bundle or EU's ps3 wireless hardware for example, count as "bought?" And how do items that come with them apply to this situation? Would everything including the boosts, BPO, BPC, and AUR transfer over?
Also, by AUR being refunded, do you mean the total AUR you have had or the amount you have at the wipe? ex. If you purchase a merc pack and use some of the AUR to get items from the market, will you be refunded the 40k AUR or the amount you have after the purchases? |

Well yea I mean you did buy the voucher.... albeit inside of something else you bought but yea people will be able to keep their Daemon's shotgun
All that you have HAD
for instance i will receive 61000 AUR and skinweave heavy, dragonfly scout, 50 hkm shotguns....(mercpack goodies) and Exile AR and so on
remember when you logged in after getting these things and you had a screen pop up and asked you to assign them to a character? that will happen again/ |

On the final release I'll loose my Character ? Meaning all my progress for my Character. Every thing? I've heard else where that it wouldn't.
I'd like a Dev, Mod, CCP Admin to confirm that upon Final release no Characters progress is gonna be carried over.
If that's the case, why the hell can we upgrade so much. I've beta tested lots of games and they were capped to prevent you from upgrading all the way. I mean seriously, Why spend all that time upgrading your skills on a beta to just get it wiped on Final release. I'd be "To put bluntly" P*ssed! I bet I wouldn't be the only one either. There's a lot of ppl that put in a lot of time and effort into their Characters, building them up.
Till a CCP Dev, Mod, Admin confirms this, I can only hope not. |

I thought everyone knew that the characters would be wiped and we are playing just to test. I hope you didn't put too much time in thinking it meant something after release.

Yes all so and isk. Will be lost. CCP has stated that this will happen. The reason is that this info is stored on singularity, and at release we are moving to tranquility. |

Well, That's bogus. I guess I'll be putting more time in other things then. No use of putting all the time and effort into something that's gonna get wiped.
I can see that it would be an unfair advantage to new players that just got the Final. But, then again. What makes it so different for new beta testers? Nothing. Kinda sucks. bla |

I have yet to hear of a game that doesn't do full wipe on launch. It's hard to tell right now how connecting Dust will affect Tranq. Given the number people on it adding a ton of people that will be on possibly at launch it might just cause the hampsters to collapse. |

That's what I thought too. I've never played a beta that carried over the stats, progress, and or characters to the final either. But from what I heard over in one of the forums that I wasn't gonna lose anything on Final. I dunno. Now I have mixed feeling about it.
They seriously should of capped progress levels and such then. It's what I think. But, that's only what I think. Nothing more. |

We were told that there would be a wipe upon final release and that we weren't getting a wipe from the last build to this one unless something went terribly wrong, the info from the Devs is still in these forums if you take a look.
The only real advantage we testers will have over the new players upon full release is that we will have a clear idea of where to put our sp so as not to "waste it" on trying new things that we have no idea about.
We will also keep the items "earned" by testing like the "skinweave", "Exile", & whatnot.
The reason they didn't set a cap on progression during the beta I would imagine is so we can test the upper tier gear before final product so they can tweak it and find out what works, and what doesn't, like the whole sp farming and auto lock on infantry swarm launchers, derpshit flight mechanics from previous builds.
It's kinda ****** to think about how much time one invests into the progression of their character knowing it will be reset upon the final move over to TQ, but we are after all beta testers and aren't exactily supposed to be playing this game as a finished polished product at this time. |

I don't know about you but, It's taking me alone time to get that upper level stuff. And yeah, It's kinda ****** to think it'll just get wiped upon Final release. Goes with being a beta tester I guess. lol
I myself don't like tomany Multi-Players to much. This one is pretty good. If I have to invest in 3 months of re-doing all my things to the levels I have them now. Then I have too. I hope in the final release that some of the old maps are there. |

+1
You just have to remember that this is a beta, it is more then natural that they wipe everything. You'll get a full refund on AUR and the items from the merc pack, the skinweave suits, and whatever you gained from special events and tourneys.
The only real advantage you'll have upon launch is a kittenload of experience playing the game, knowing the gamemechanics and if you tried different builds where to put you're SP.
But all this has been know for ages. If you spend kittenloads of time in the hope to keep everything on launch then you seriously haven't been reading enough about the game...

If you bought items from the in-game market with AURUM, you will lose those items upon reset but you will be reimbursed all of the AURUM that you spent in total for those in-game market items.
For example: I bought a Valor scout suit BPO from the in-game market with AUR. When the reset hits and everything vanishes, the AUR that I have spent on that Valor scout suit will be given back to me. |

You won't see them again when it's live unless CCP teleports you. The FW/Corps ones that are done right now are in the space we'll be using. The others are in Jove space and cannot normally be gotten to. You're going to have more then enough terrain and planets that you're not going to know where you want to fight. Some of the planets they've done in highsec and in low have up to 11 districts. That's a ton of terrain to fight on. |

Remember, we're just mercenaries. You go where the person with the money sends you.
I would like to ask for an official yes and no list of what we get to keep from CCP themselves. I feel that as testers who are putting money into the game we should be given that much information.
Also, I have yet to play EVE so I'm not certain but it seems, AUR costs a lot more in EVE. Is the money system going to be changed drastically because if so I feel the 40000 AUR for 20$ is a little misleading. Obviously the items currently are beta priced but I feel that it's reasonable. (ex. BPO dropsuit for ~12800 AUR = 6.40$ isn't unreasonable)
If the two AUR prices aren't going to be matched shouldn't it be renamed ? |

Some one wrote that the things are tied to our PSN account. Because that would include our actual character, does that mean that I can keep my character (aside from SP and ISK and all that)? I don't want to lose my Mighty. |
