Dont listen to him. Armor just slows you down. A logi is always constantly moving. You dont want to be slowed down. I have 345 shields and 174 armor on my A series.
Just put an armor repair or a cardiac stimulant or a speed enhancer or a hacking mod. Forget the nanohives. Nanite injectors, repairs tools and remote explosives are the way to go. Proximity mines if you have the proto suit. Carry a support weapon such as a laser or MD or sub mach for CQC. |

Logi Bro wrote: I have to disagree with this. A single armor plate will slow you down A LITTLE but you aren't going to be outrunning anyone but heavies anyways, so it won't make a difference. Don't forget nanohives, they are a great tool, both for yourself and your team-mates. Completely forgo any proximity mines and/or remote explosives, they haven't been useful since the nerf. You can play with an AR, just because people label you as support doesn't mean you have to listen to them. I run this:
Dont listen to him either. He is one of the worst logi bros I have seeb. He is telling you to run militia mods. You will be weapon fodder even before you know it. Almost every assault guy carries a nanohive. It doesnt make sense in carry more nanohives unless they are armor repair. But thats why you have rep tools. More WP. Your slots with me more usefull carrying rep tools , nanite injectors and remote explosives or proximity mines.
Remote explosives are very useful. My own alliance watches out for my remote explosives when I play against them.
You also need to have survivability. Remember you are useful only if you are are to kill the guy that killed your squadmate and revive them. The more agile you are the better your chances are. Most basic modules cost betwee 1000 - 4000 ISK. That is not much ISK with the kind of rewards you would get end game. Also militia mods cost more PG and/or CPU than basic mods.
Aim high. Dont be mediocre like Mr Logi Bro out here.

Logi Bro wrote:lol. It's funny because I've never even heard of you, so you obviously aren't a foremost authority on logistics anymore than I am, and since your symbol on the forums is that of a heavy, I can safely assume you don't play 100% as logistics, either.
This guy is telling you to not use armor plates, THAT is going to make you weapon fodder, not using militia mods. You can even substitute in the standard version of my militia mods if it really bugs you that much. I run militia to save money, and it works considering that fit I posted costs less than 20k ISK (but keep in mind I am using the BPO standard dropsuit, so I am not charged for that) Remote explosives are the biggest waste of an equipment slot, unless you are planning to camp next to one of the skirmish objectives to detonate when someone comes near. Nanohives are THE most useful piece of equipment, I don't care if you can revive a team-mate and then repair them to full, if they don't have ammo, you just brought that guy back to die again. The logistics suit has the most PG and CPU of any suit, and the fit I gave you didn't even use up half of my CPU or my PG, so the "militia modules use up more PG/CPU so they are bad" argument is irrelevant. Basically I am saying don't take advice from a heavy on how to play as a logi, even if you don't like my advice, avoid his at all costs.
For starters, this is a beta and you are supposed to test everything. Secondly I chose the Amarrs because the alliance I roll with are primarily Caldari and will be supporting the Amarr. Thirdly chosing the Amarr class instantly gives you weaponry level 3 which I like when I start rolling.
Next;- mixed mode is the way to go. If you are saying you are 100% Logi, you are essentially restricting yourself. I like being mixed mode because you never know what weapon I can pull out to kill your dumba$$.
If you are using the best armor plates, which gives you a HP bonus of 117 but has a movement penalty of 10%, it reduces your top sprintiing from 6.61 to 5.98. Thats almost as close as a heavy type 2. You may as well go heavy then. I guess you knew that too. Why would you want to do that when for the same CPU and PG you can put a proto hacking mod that gives you a hacking bonus of 30%. 30% hacking bonus + 15% Logi bonus + 25% increase in hacking time = 70% hacking time. Which makes more sense, being a slow fat ass heavy or being a fast hacker.
My Type A with 3 complex shield extenders, A basic armor repair, a cardiac stimulator, hacking mod, remote explosive, nanite injector and a repair too with a M209 sub mach costs me 40000 Isk. Most games I go 20 + kills and 2-3 deaths and I get 250K ISK to 360K ISK per game. Which makes more sense?
RE = Easy kills Nanohives is a waste as almost everyone but heavies have them.
You can try this clowns loadout and be mediocre or try mine and run with the big boys. Your choice. In the end DILLIGAF! |

Tyler Hall wrote:That is why i said in previous posts that everyone has their own style. my fits work great for me, maybe not fo everyone. Logi is all i use and have found what works best for me. being slower just gives me one more reason to keep moving, it's not too hard to keep from dying as long as i don't stop. i rarely run solo, so normally there is at least a couple of assault guys to compinsate for my lack of speed. i hope we get chance to play togather and i'm sure you'll see speed isn't eveything.
Yes Sir! You are very correct. I did miss that post where you said everyones style is different. I like to run solo a lot. Helps improve my gun game. What you say about running with assaults does make a lot of sense. You do want to be behind them.In my case speed and agility is my saving grace.
+1 for your grace in sensibly responding to arrogant comments on your post. And yes we should roll together or be at opposite ends to see how we can learn from each other. I will find you in game or if you have a public channel please do let me know and we can roll sometime.

Yes. Thats why you can be on the other side of the field and not have to worry about people sneaking behind you and taking objects.
I also prefer Flux or AV nades more to militia locus grenades. But thats a preference. You can fit what you want on it. |

Logi Bro wrote: Added together that's....72,000 ISK, just a little more than you said, and my fit that costs exactly (and I recently changed my militia shield extenders to enhanced extenders) 28,000 ISK and I get about 15+ kills per game, and about 2 deaths, 250,000+ ISK per game, so you have argued your point against me for really no reason at all.
Good day, sirrah.
Saw you running around with you gay suit last night and killed you.
Not very useful when you are dead huh? |

My M209s and Logi A Series are free. They are salvagable and I got loads of those. Thats 34000 Free!
72000-34000 = 38000 ISK
