This seriously has to be one of the most annoying things about this game.
I could be standing right on top of this ****** but for some unknown reason I'm unable to see it and people are able to spawn behind me at no fault of my own. And because I know there's an uplink somewhere around me I have to walk around looking at the ground like some dumbass waiting for this ****** to finally decide to show up.
This thing really needs to be addressed. |

Drop uplinks are actually artificial intelligences that can manipulate the brain waves of those around them. If they feel threatened, they remove themselves from your mind. So even though you feel as though you saw something, when you look, there clearly is nothing there. Many scientists throughout New Eden have tried to crack into the AI subsystems of the drop uplinks, to see how they work, but currently no success has been made.
Until now, we recommend throwing a grenade in the suspected area, just in case. Plus, you have a high chance of slaughtering any pixies, faries, or gremlins in the blast radius.
Hopefully this answers your question
[Seriously though, I hear you, this happens to me constantly. You really need to chill and wait for them to actually deploy, and if you hit a slope they almost always don't activate] |

I think it's on purpose. Perhaps it's meant to mitigate frame rate issues or lag. Who knows. |

Yeah it's annoying especially when you see them flicker on your radar then when you get to where it should be theres nothing then hello someone spawns and you're like wtf! I find running around the same area helps make them appear and they almost always appear after someone spawns so maybe if you can't find it, toss a grenade or wait for someone to spawn and blow them both up

It's on purpose I think, depending on your sign radius. Keep a lower sign radius, and your up links are less noticed unless someone knows you're setting them. |

they go invisable to allow people to spawn more covertly unless your 100% over them you dont really know where they are. |

Not logged on so can't check but wondering if deployable equipment had signature value?
If not yet, that might be good to have. |

If you want to covertly spawn and not in a spot that the enemy can't see. If I'm looking at something it should show up, it should be on my screen. If that means taking it off the radar then so be it but it shouldn't magically be invisible to the eye. |

No.
This is a glitch that has been happening to equipment for a very long time. It even used to happen to Remote Explosives, until CCP gave them some particular love. As far as popping up on the radar? Yeah it should be hard to get uplinks to do that. Being visible on the field, however, should be a constant. |
