Kind of like how we can determine the difference between a tank, LAV and dropship just by looking at the radar blip. I think it would be nice if the same could be done for player dots/blips as well.
I think there could be three different types of blips. One for scout suits, one for heavy suits, and one for assault/logi (this blip would look the same as the ones we have now).
Also any player that is carrying a nanite injector could have a small cross on their blip, this way when we are laying on the ground, we will have a better idea if somebody is actually near us that can revive. Cause sometimes it tells you a reviver is nearby when they are not even close.
I think this would be an interesting, and extremely useful, twist to the gameplay. And ultimately beneficial for everybody. |

The cross should appear when bleeding out at least.
This would be good for blue dots. Maybe making red dots show type would require somebody tagging them somehow? Like looking at them in ads mode to show suit model, or active scanner, or having a large over-match of scan precision vs signature. |

I don't think all the heavies would benefit much from this, since everybody will know when they're getting close to a heavy and will just run away.
Also, no free intel thank you.
Edit: About marking the players with injectors better, yes this would be very helpful and has been suggested several times before. |

You mean run away like herding cattle? The heavy blip would be an intimidation factor and a smart team/squad could use that to their advantage. Also unless somebody in your squad gets eyes on them, you could still be surprised by a heavy right around the corner (especially on small maps).
And no free Intel? Most of what is seen on the radar/HUD is free Intel. |

For pub matches there shouldn't be something like this. It would screw heavies over so much.
2. For corp matches there's not even a need for it, since people will call out enemies anyway.
3. I just think it's generally a bad idea.

Yeah, no need for icons. Let other games do it the simple and faceroll way. It takes all of 3 seconds to say "2 Fatties and a Fixer coming in from the right flank.". |
