Good build aside this game is going to become pay to win unless we make all the aur guns purchasable with ISK as well. All Aur dropsuits would have an ISK price tag as well. get rid of this "elitiest system" and make this game open to everyone in terms of purchasing, no I am not talking about the player market I am talking about the regular market.
Having this would draw even more people in, I dont care what you AUR users think, All of you guys dont have a right to speak because you dont earn anything, you pay your way through the game. |

Im not whining, Im speaking the truth. and the reason you can run militia things with AUR guns is because of the lower CPU/ PG requirements, allowing you to fit damage mods. So No, once again not whining. |

You misunderstand me: I beat the people with the AUR guns with militia guns. My advice to you is to practice with your weapons of choice. You'll get get better |

Have they changed the AUR guns again since Codex? Because there, we only had 2 pay-to-win AUR guns. One HMG and one Tac AR (which has been nerfed hard for the people who exploited it). |

but still, having a gun that is unpurchasable with ISK, isnt going to help this game. I do beat people with militia stuff, all the time. the free exile gun aside.
DO you really think the player market is going to have aur guns in them, not BPO's BPCS will be flooded in their including salavge and crap at super high prices and the BPO's will be so expensive, no one will want to touch them. Unless CCP puts a price sell limit on everything, which is near imposible on a limited console system.
The player market will be flooded with militia gear of people trying to make a quick buck, or noobs trying to get rid of gear and make a profit. |

I've not checked through everything, but I've certainly seen equivalent or better ISK stuff than all of the AUR stuff that I've looked at. Also, when the secondary market comes on line, it will be possible to buy AUR items off players for ISK. |

The Codewish is provably superior to the closest ISK equivalent, and the Broadside is provably superior to the closest ISK equivalent, and all the other AUR weapons are identical in every way except skill prerequisites to their closest ISK equivalents.
Other than those two weapons, how is this pay-to-win?
And while CCP won't be selling the guns for ISK, the player market WILL allow us to sell AUR gear (weapons, dropsuits, UVTs, whatever else we have) for ISK to other players. |

I'm going to occaionally buy merc packs and give them to noobs for a very high price, and keep the AUR and skill boosters for myself. |

lower cpu/ PG requirements make better fits, combined with a BPO militia suit, yeah.. |

Never underestimate the market wielding capacity of the inhabitants of New Eden. Instead of being a complete jackass thinking you are so high and mighty and that you think you are right about everything, how about you take a good hard look at the economy of Eve Online. You know, that same economy that has seen players buy things with money and then sell them for ISK? That same economy has been operating like that since 2009 and still growing strong and stable.
I know more about New Eden economics than you would ever hope to understand thanks to my years experience playing in Eve. So instead of acting so ignorant, how about you do your homework for a change. |

@ The OP : This is coming with te secondary market. Soon players will be able to sell anything they want to other players. This includes AUR items.
Someone above seemed to doubt anyone would sell AUR stuff for ISK. This is a silly assumption. There is always avid gamers who generally have spare cash, and want to spend a bit of real money to get some ingame wealth. People like this will buy aurum guns & boosters, and sell them ingame to other players for ISK to get the money to afford stuff they want to use.
The beauty of this is that since it's entirely player controlled, Aurum stuff will be relatively cheap ISKwise. Sure, some people could try to sell it all very high, but since anyone and everyone can also sell, there is going to be lots of market pvp which will drive the prices down to whatever the average player deems reasonable. :) |

DarkShadowFox wrote:lower cpu/ PG requirements make better fits, combined with a BPO militia suit, yeah.. The only BPO militia suits are the skin weave suits. They're not available through AUR, they were only available as gifts to beta testers.
The BPO suits that you can buy with AUR, the Raven assault suit, the Valor scout suit and the Sever Logi suit are all standard suits, there are many ISK suits that are better than them. In fact, with all the drop suits, the best prototype suits are ISK only.
As far as weapons go, which ones have lower CPU and PG requirements? every single AUR weapon uses considerable more CPU and PG that the ISK weapons in the same skill bracket, and are the same as weapons from the next skill bracket up.
Forge guns - the Grimlock has a far higher CPU/PG req than the Kaalakiota and is, stat for stat, the same as the Ishukone. Assault Rifles - The Codewish is broken, true. It's the same as the Duvolle but for nearly half the CPU/PG req. Sniper Rifles - The Downwind and the Genesis, both have equivalent ISK versions. Swarm Launchers - The Darkside is either matched, or out matched by all three ISK prototypes. Submachine guns - the Spitfire has a considerable lower CPU/PG req than the Ishukone, but it's stats are not as good. Scrambler Pistols - Burnscar is the same as the Visiam, Carthum is better AND has lower CPU/PG req. HMG - the Broadside is the same as the Boundless, and the Freedom and the Six Kin are better. Mass Drivers - the Cyclone is the same as the Freedom, Boundless and Core Breach are better. Shotguns - The Cerberus is the same as the CreoDron, the Duvolle and the Allotek are both better. Laser Rifles, Nova Knives and Grenades have no AUR versions.
So, if you want to play with a Tactical Assault Rifle, you're best off using an AUR item, but for everything else in the entire game, there are ISK equivalents, if not improvements. |

As you can see, Mr. Darkshadowfox, things will be just fine as long as players are able to control the market like how Eve players can control the Eve market. If you still think we are wrong, than go procreate with yourself. |
