acccording to a post by Wang supposed to be a daily reset on the SP cap doesn't feel like it today
CCP Cmdr Wang wrote:Cyn Bruin wrote:CCP Cmdr Wang wrote:Please bear in mind that a reset will not occure with the Chromosome update today. Howdy Cmdr Wang, Any chance with this update today we will see the Weekly SP reset be adjusted to the schedule it was supposed to be on? As of right now it resets every Wednesday, whereas in the notes explaining the Weekly SP, it says it resets every Tuesday. Last question. We asked awhile back about this Weekly SP cap and were informed it might be adjusted to Daily SP cap "soon", any update on the SP system? Correct, with the Chromosome update, the SP cap will be changed to daily instead of a weekly cap. The daily SP cap will be reset during each day's DT.

Cause daily cap makes dust a grinding fest. Also, daily cap wouldnt mean galore of SP. It would probably just be week cap divided by 7. Wich means missing 2 days in the week be lost SP.
but hey, just my opinion. |

And If a person only plays at the weekend wouldn't a daily cap make the monthly booster pointless? |

It's fact, not opinion.
Having to hit seven caps rather than one will eventually lead to lost SP for all, including the most fanatical. And in exchange for what? Redistributing your low return matches? That's a poor trade. |

i agree with you mates.
But the possible return to a daily cap is due to 24/7 whiners that were too sad reaching cap after 2 days. And want to grind SP as it's their only purpose in life.
But clearly, it will only make things unbalance. SP progression of two players starting at the same time should be highly similar, no matter how good, or hard they play. Otherwise, it will just contribute in cuddling the ego of a few at the detriment of most players.
Can't wait for final design on progression system. Hope it's solid and fair for all types of players. |

As a 2-3 match a day player I approve of the weekly cap. |

I still prefer the weekly cap too, especially since the plans to return to a daily cap "without" a pool is what was planned. I see no reason to switch back to a more inconvenient system. I agree with Laurent in all points. |

please take time to read this thread gents this is the BEST way to balance things for everyone newbies who join months later along with ppl who cant play everyday
it SHOULD be a weekly cap, but 1 that is bigger than the previous one we had AND if u miss a week or a few days and havent hit ur cap it should roll over to the following week that way newbies who join months later (ex 3months) would have a 3month built up cap to grind if they possibly can so they can catch up to vets
it punishes no one and makes life as a newbie a bit easier |

I get like, 90,000 SP a day from actual play time, from 3 games with a active booster, on the days I DO get to play.
So, I don't know.
People with a boatload of SP aren't really going to change anything. They'll still be noobs if they're noobs and they won't be buying anything if they don't have the ISK to pay for it. |
