Alright, my aim is kind of meh usually, but it feels as though a lot more of my shots aren't registering again. I know that shotguns have suffered from disappearing bullets since the beta started, and I'm just curious if there's something going on again. I'll have a shot lined up, take it, and nothing, then again and again. I know my aim isn't all that good, but damn, it really feels like the bullets are wandering off again >_<
Anyone else, or is it just me? |

I haven't had any shots 'not' register this build. So, so far so good . Personally, success with the shotgun isn't so much about trying to aim precisely, & more about predicting the enemies movements & timing your shots. Mid air kills are my favorites |

Haven't picked up a shotgun this build but I've had two squadmates described taking shots directly on targets with no effect. The most extreme instance I've heard was two point blank shots with no damage registered.
So, while I've no first hand experience to offer it sounds to me like there's a bug.
UPDATE:
I've now spent a day testing by running shotgun matches. I'd say about 10-15% (obviously subjective figures) of the time my shots don't do any damage. (Note for context: I am only including shots that were centered on in range non-strafing foes who were "lit" in the targeting sights). It's almost like the bug from last build where you could "double tap" with a single blast has been inverted in this one, causing some that essentially deal no damage. |

Shotguns in the right hands are beastly. Heck Militia Shotguns with Sharpshooter lvl 5 or better is a mean gun, got killed from AR range a few times by a shotgun. |

I can vouch for this. Not a shotgun user myself, but i was trying to melee one the other day for the fun of it. I was point blank, no way he could be missing, and yet probably his first three shots missed. |

So in the match I just played, I've narrowed down the cause of this problem to one of 3 possibilities:
1. Shotgun hit detection has changed in some way, making what I THOUGHT were accurate shots miss.
2. I'm not functioning properly because I've been overheating the past few days and it's had a negative impact on my sleep patterns (this is the most likely option)
3. Leaving Skype running in the background while on ADSL2+ causes lag (more likely than option 1, but not as likely as option 2, I can run Yahoo Messenger just fine with most games) |

When you run up at someone and fire your spray is seem tilted in one direction then another. As a heavy, I've out danced shotgunners - that's insane. |

I am usually crap - but yesterday first time on my shotgun specced alt I was even crapper. Glad it isn't just me.

A few people have mentioned that apparently they're seeing a significant deadzone that wasn't there last build.
That would cause trouble with controlled aiming in CQC. I haven't noticed a problem personally, but I'm not really functioning at my best lately, so it's reasonable to expect me not to at the moment. If you haven't, try turning your "deadzone" settings to 0 on the Move settings page - it helped me in previous builds. |

Exactly the same here. I have not slept well past two days, so what I perceive may be unreliable but. What I noticed with Breach SG is that shots that you re-fire right after you send a shell into chamber (which is a lot of the time with only 2 shells in the 'drum') tend to miss completely. For example, I would be sprinting, bunny hopping while franticly trying to reload - at this point SG reticle disappears off the screen - but I figure i still have my target square in the part of the screen where the reticle is supposed to be if I were not reloading. Next I fire - sure enough, right as I finish reload and squeeze the trigger the reticle appears again (SG ready for fire after reload) and it's right over the target, yet I miss. This lead me to believe that there are some conditions when shots are misdetected (like those taken right after reload).

Just tested this out running the Specialist Shotgun for a few matches. Maybe i'm just convinced after reading all the input in previous posts but I would say something has changed with the way Shotguns are operating this build. |

Shotty is my primary spec weapon. This issue is not new. It seems that third of your shotgun shooting and you seeing registered hits is just a glitch -- the enemy doesn't feel a thing.
Happens on every shotgun tier (militia - proto), but it seems to be a problem with the same users every match -- I could throw some unshotgunable names from yesterday, but will not. I tried to get these guys more than two times, every time same result -- shots not registering despite shields flash. Killed some other people from their team just fine, but at the end they went XX/0. (Same problem with sniper -- got a clean pot shot, guy lit up, no damage at all, turned around and ARed me.)
What happens with shotty: you run around the guy, get close (like 3-4m) and start pumping at his head/chest while getting closer, you can reach out and touch him when you're at your 3rd and 4th shot, all of them make him light up like a christmas tree (full hit at point blank range, duh) but only the last shot registers, and barely scratches him. At this point guy is killing you f2f with his H/L/S whatever. Sometimes they turn around quicker and do this funny sidestepping thing -- you get 3-4 shots to connect on your console, but no damage is done -- hitbox glitching?
My ping to the battle server is <=48ms, everything runs smooth. Just no damage from shotty.
Like I said -- mostly happens for the same group of players each match, go figure.
May be related: sometime you let go a round (and even maime/kill with it) but you can't reload -- discharged shell does not register -- 8 shells remain. Until you fire up another one -- then you're magically at 6 shots left. Still happens this build. |

Firing straight from reloading (or mid-reload) has been MORE reliable for me with a Militia Shotgun.
