With Tuesday's Chromosome release and the developer blog post with are at the final step before we hit Tranquility and join the real New Eden. That open's up two questions for me:
1. Is the Tranquility release our next wipe? My first guess is yes since we'll be likely be switching databases as well but they could always move us over. I ask because I'd like to plan my skills accordingly. If we are short timers I'll test items I can train quickly. If not then its on to Prototype Logistics for me.
2. Since Open Beta will be on the live servers will we have another wipe after that? I'm guessing no since we'll be in the "real world" at that point.
I hate to join in the crowd asking about wipes but things are changing and it'd be nice to plan my day.

my understanding is there will be a wipe when we go to open beta and a wipe at full release. So at least two more wipes.
We will also wipe when we go to TQ --- the question is, will we move to TQ during one of the aforementioned wipes or will the TQ move be a third wipe...??? |

All good questions. I've pinged some developers and posted the question here because of NDA. Hoping for an official answer, even if it involves "alignment of important celestials". |

First part of answer from The Twitter: The short answer is that there will be a migration but @CCP_Praetorian and @CCP_CmdrWang can better reply w/details.
So, at least characters are moving over. |

Well this new Dev blog says that Chromosome is the last build before open beta, which may or may not involve moving to TQ but will probably come with a wipe ether way. |

In my opinion (for what it's worth) moving to tranquility is release ... we are released into New Eden to wage war and have an effect on the persistent universe for real.
Open beta is basically the PSN release when DUST becomes available freely to download by anyone. This I imagine wouldn't happen until we are on tranquility, otherwise we'd still be on the test server and therefore still testing.
I imagine the move to TQ will coincide with a new build, though they may want to 'test' it here for a week or 2 before merging over, there will need to be a wipe at this point otherwise isk and AURUM transferring over will effect the economies.
There will also need to be a wipe when released on PSN as the influx of new players will need a level playing field.
I guess the 2 releases could happen at the same time ... once they're sure DUST won't scramble New Eden for Eve subscribers I suppose it's ready to move to TQ and also ready to release to the PSN community.
So it would make sense to only need one more wipe, but possible that the next build will have a short stability test before moving, opening to PSN and a wipe occurring. |

The original questions about this were regarding timing so that we can plan for long skills or best to just spend our SP trying out stuff because we'll be wiped before we reach our goals.

1) our next reset is when we move to TQ which from my understanding is when Open Beta is
2) we reset when we "launch"
