1. And when the game goes live, after the new build's exploits (which will undoubtedly cost many players a lot of Aurum) hae been fixed, you'll be reimbursed for ALL the Aurum you've spent over this period.
2. Source? If this was stated by someone in an official capacity, I've missed it. I know they specifically advertised that there WOULDN'T be a reset well in advance of the this build's release though. Plenty of advance warning to negate this point even with a source.
3. This is within the terms of use, and perfectly reasonable to expect while the game is still in beta. If it was post-release, then you might have grounds to argue, but even then, there will probably be a license agreement to accept, and it will probably cover the potential for rebalancing to be applied retroactively to purchased items as long as your altered items retain the same core functionality. If not, you might have grounds, POST-RELEASE (still not in the beta) to request a refund. |

I'm just a messenger :) When did I say it was directed at you, and not something for you to be messenger with and take back to your friend? |

howard sanchez wrote:CCP has led the community to believe that during each new build and again prior to release Aurum would be reset. Source? Other than assumptions made due to past experience, I haven't seen evidence to support this. Also, CCP have given plenty of notice advising players that this build WOULDN'T come with a reset.
Quote:So what's changed? Why no Aurum reset? Is this not what we were led to believe? If "we" were paying attention, then that isn't what "we" were led to believe, because "we" had been specifically told otherwise. Only those who WEREN'T part of the "we" who pay attention missed the repeated notifications and advance warnings and reminders that this build WASN'T coming with a reset.
Quote:We also expected a skill and asset / isk wipe... If that is yet to come then the Aurum reset will surely coincide. But only foolish over trusting sheep allow an agreement between parties involving money to be breached without explanation. YOU were expecting a skill/asset/ISK wipe. "We" who actually follow the official announcements were prepared for this not to happen with the new build, because "we" listened and read the announcements advising us that this wouldn't be the case. |
