Callsign Tango wanted the following to be posted on his behalf, as he does not have forum access:
"I feel that Aurum should be refunded based on the following reasons:
1. I have lost hundreds of Aurum suits fitted with Aurum gear to players using exploits that CCP has known about but did not immediately fix. As a result, CCP is culpable for my lost of money in these situations, and a refund due to a poor product are warranted in this situation.
2. CCP stated previously that it would be returned to the players each build leading up to release.
3. As the items changed properties (i.e. iron sights), CCP is changing the deliverable of products purchased with real money after the purchase was final. Any market that works on the premise of paying for specific items (meaning non-subscription based) should result in no changes to what was purchased, and any changes made should impact new purchases only."
Thanks for reading Callsign's information. A reply from CCP Commander Wang would be appreciated, as Callsign makes some very legitmate points. |

I'm sure if you spent money on something that didn't work as advertised you would ask for a refund as well. Ever had milk you bought at the grocery store be bad even though the expiration date was good? I'm sure you asked for a refund of that.
Regardless, Callsign is entitled to a position and given he never complains on the forums, I think he is allowed to vent his frustration. |

3. This is within the terms of use, and perfectly reasonable to expect while the game is still in beta. If it was post-release, then you might have grounds to argue, but even then, there will probably be a license agreement to accept, and it will probably cover the potential for rebalancing to be applied retroactively to purchased items as long as your altered items retain the same core functionality. If not, you might have grounds, POST-RELEASE (still not in the beta) to request a refund.
