Okay, it is as simple as it sounds. A sniper that fires a triple stutter round: three high speed ballistics rounds that fire in quick succession. Each round will have lower damage than a normal sniper round, but all three together can cause high damage. Useful for: Firing on fast moving targets or running enemies. Higher odds of hitting, but lower chance of killing. It would be a balance between what kind of targets you prefer.
You already have burst everything, why not have a similar concept sniper, especially without the charge. |

Since snipers can be cosidered scouts why not ad that if the bullet his its mark (of course not killing but dealing reasonable damage) it will track the traget a bit like a beacon signal to let all allies know where that traget is for a limited time say 30 seconds.
I would recomend it be weaker than the damage on a tactical sniper rifle, maybe make it like the same damage as he pistols do per bullet. Say between 50-70 damage a bullet and there being a charget between shots like 2 seconds.
Basically yes. But instead of you holding down the trigger, one press, three shots. Three shots have a little time in between each bullet. Not 123, but maybe 1..2..3
I like the beacon idea! Its great for a squad scout. |

Magpie Raven wrote:This is actually a cool idea. Id support it. But it would need a decent charge time with maybe only being able to fire twice, maybe 3 times per mag.
What about the more you charge it the more rounds it shoots but the less accurate it is? +1
I can see that. It would be pretty cool that you can either snap off a shot or charge a bit ad fire a max of three. All three combined would be killer powerful, but you shouldn't expect to land all three due to the very nature of the gun. But yes, small clip, low ammo would even it out, along with a higher CPU req than other snipers.
+1 for the accuracy idea. Agreed. |

no child. No spraying, no praying. Simple burst sniper. You cant use a burst AR for spray and pray. How would that apply here? |

No, this wouldn't be a snap and shoot weapon. You still need skill, and it is not meant to hit a stationary target. It would't be effective for that. What it is meant for is moving, running targets really. And not to kill, but to wound enough for your teammates to get that kill.
But i do see you arguments. |

Garrett Blacknova wrote:Less effective for personal use, but potentially more effective as a long-range squad support weapon. And because you're letting squadmates get kills, it would be a perfect weapon for a Squad Leader to use. Assist + Commission = ???
Occasional kill gives you a bonus, and when you don't land the kill yourself, you set it up for that guy with a defend order floating above his head.
Exactly! This is by no means a killing gun. It is a support gun. Perfect for scouts that are part of high precision squads, along with spotters, behind the lines gunmen, and infiltrating snipers. This marks the target and wounds him. Its up to your mates to wipe him out. OR You buddies are held down. You pump damage into the baddies, enough for your guys to push forward and get out of there. |
