Mainly because I purchased 500 or so gek assault rifles that had scopes when I purchased them and now they dont thus making them unusable to me because I hate these iron sights.
At least as a courtesy.
And I know there are other people in my situation
And why is there. No dot on any ar scope? Who here has ever used a sc
ope irl that had no type of reticle? |

You invested in a computer game which is in testing. You can now go out and prove that the scope was better, by getting slaughtered while using them. That'll help CCP fix them and put a scope on the thing! Enjoy :D |

I actually believe they say they can do that in the agreement. Otherwise the same could be said if he bought something like a glitched one hit gun qnd it got hot fixed. |

Yes and no.
He used real money to purchase an in-game currency which he then spent on an item that has since been changed, in a beta, with advance warning of the upcoming change, and with that purchased currency scheduled to be refunded at some point in the future.
Doesn't quite look so bad any more, does it? |

It says all aur items can be replaced with similar items in the agreement.
So you don't like the iron sights oh well then I guess you learned a very important lesson only spend aur on items you will shortly consume in case they get changed. You foolishly spent your aur on items right before the new build. Guess what happens when a new build is dropped, stuff changes. This is nothing like your example of buying a retail finished product. You are a Beta tester testing software that you should be smart enough to know will change if you aren't that smart you really shouldn't be buying aur you should spend your money on a new phone cause that blackberry you have sucks. |

petty issues aside, it's kind of scary that and E-asset like this can be changed on a whim. I guess the lesson here is build up on ISK and AUR and only stock up on enough load outs to get through 5 or so games. |

I don't see the scary part.
The developers changed "an e-asset" IN A BETA. That e-asset is defined in the agreement you accepted when entering the beta as being something the devs are free to change at their discretion... and when the game goes live, all the AUR you spent gets refunded, and all the items you had get removed.
Please explain why this is scary?
Also, please explain how you know that it was changed "on a whim" and not due to something planned, calculated and carefully considered well in advance? |

Correct me if I'm wrong.
You will be refunded AUR, in game currency, not actual money. Sort of a 'store credit' if you will. |

Look at it like this ...
1. You have 'pre-ordered' AURUM for DUST when it is released.
2. You have been allowed to use the quantity you pre-ordered during the beta test to test the items and 'try before you buy'.
3. Each time stats have been wiped AURUM has been reimbursed ... you haven't had to buy more.
4. There will be a final wipe upon release when you will take delivery of your purchased AURUM to spend as you wish.
5. As already been said ... it's in the contract they can change anything they want.
Finally the dev blog says secondary market should be do-able this build so if you don't like them ... wait and sell them for isk. |
