It was mentioned in the last few days that this is more of a core code fix and gameplay patch with the next build having new content.

Well to me it feels a lot like I am playing COD Classic, iron sights has ruined me..... tell me I am to old whatever..... if they didn't include some way for me to change it to a scope or a red dot or what it was then the last 2 months were a waste.
Down the road, wait give it some time...
But right now, there is no reason for me to play, I really can't hit anything with the move and sharpshooter anymore, the most points I got were for healing team mates with my nano-hives. |

So happy they fixed stability and started the base for better content. Thumbs up to CCP for focusing on making this game an FPS and not a spreadsheet in space. |

My only real problem is that playing with an AR using a PS3 controller is impossible without auto aim on. Just need some practice hopefully. Crouching while aiming helps a lot.
But iron sights on all AR's??? Really. Hope the red dot comes back with the weapon customisation we've heard about.
But it plays a lot better so positives there. |

The faster framerate and removal of mini-freezes during combat is so nice! The game feels responsive now. Reviving people feels cleaner too. Iron sights will take some getting used to, I always liked the red dot for lining up AR shots. I'm looking forward to having the ability to add that back to the standard AR in future updates. |

First thing I notice is that they moved the profile dampeners to low powered slots, which screwed up my scout dropsuit fitting. Curse you CCP! > : (
But other than that, I dig the new patch, especially the music. Plus I can donate to the corporation again, yay! |

Agreed, new frame rate is outstanding. Only played one map where everything went nuts... overview map graphics went all screwy and then the lady's was breaking up. |

I'll get used to the ironsights, can't say I am a fan, but what I really hate is i have to turn my damage control unit on every 30 seconds now on my tank, add in my afterburner, rep and i'll probably look at an active hardener or active heatsink, so many damn modules to activate now while underfire. |

I like it though. Lets the truely skilled tankers do well with the possibility of a slip-up if not careful. |

Where the **** were you during the last month? Everyone here already knew that this build was meant primarily to address issues on core game play. Content took a back seat at our request. Wait until the next update if you wish, but don't assume that this build was all about new content. You should follow up on Podside Podcast, irc, and Zion Shad's posts. |

Still got to wait 30 minutes before I can get on my PS3, download was done in less than an hour for me. Can't wait to dive in and have a go. Only problem is I have got to get to work soon
Not sure about the iron sights myself but we will see. Looking forward to finally having recoil, must remember short bursts.
Its good that they have had a crack at fixing some of the core issues, keep up the good work CCP. |

Close combat feels like it's been cleaned up nicely. I'm liking that.
I'm a little iffy on the grenade changes at the moment, but there are three ways that could go, and only one is bad mechanics (it's more likely that either I suck or need to learn the new system).
My biggest problem is that Ambush is literally unplayable for me so far. I've been repeatedly kicked out of battles without spawning, then searching again has thrown me into the same battle, but now with a 0/2 K/D (yes, apparently, getting disconnected without ever spawning can sometimes count as TWO deaths now). |

-Tiny bunkers on that skirmish map. -Assault rifles are fun now because they're difficult to use. Players now have to burst, crouch, and actually have to clearly see what they're shooting (no dot turning red to confirm a hit). -Mass Drivers were only used briefly, but I can tell they're much better. -More installations to prevent redlining in skirmishes. -Better overall performance -Grenades are much more fluid, but there's no thukker grenades on the market at all. -Logistic love. I was getting some good war points just healing a guy while he killed. -Snipers still deadly, but trail is easier to detect and I think it lasts longer too. -New map installations are more fun to play on. I like the acid pits underground too. -Grass texture map
Cons -Grass needs to be greener -Assault rifles sight was blurry for me for some reason on the burst rifle. -Railguns are a bit crazy. Need to wait and see how I feel about them. -No UVT in corp. -Scrambler pistol seems harder to use for some reason. I may have to turn sensitivity down since I don't like twitch aiming. -My grenades keep hitting invisible walls and they do a strange animated bounce when they hit the ground. -My Lav set of fire when I hit a ramp and I didn't even land. I had to bail mid-air. -That new skirmish map is very difficult to traverse on foot. Maybe some more buildings are needed in the middle of all the objectives. -The new skirmish map is the old one without some of the spikes. If the random generator makes it easier to create maps then I would expect them to be more unique.

They renamed the Thukker Grenade. It's in the patch notes. |
