to have compass symbols integrated onto the hud. As you rotate your character, you can see the direction you are looking to be, for example, N (north) or W (west). |

I can see how some players might find this distracting so an "on/off" toggle in the options menu of the neocom would be advisable I feel.
That aside such a feature would provide a great deal of utility to those of us who enjoy participation in larger organized battles (such as Tournament, Corp, or Faction Warfare) where teamwork is essential.

YES! I love it when games do that. I don't like fallout games, but i do love how they have this feature. Its way better than a minimap compass.
Found a good pic of the compass symbols integrated to the HUD.
