Rather than just a blank loading screen before instant action battles, play a looped (in as seemless a way as possible) cutscene appropriate to the battle type. For example for skirmish matches there could a shot of an MCC blazing through the atmosphere while a squadron of dropships fly past it. Or for ambush matches there a could a scene where one squad casually advances down a lonely road, while in the scrub and buildings ahead they are observed by a hostile team as it's members rush into position, check weapons etc.

I wouldn't mind as long as there's an option to turn it off. |

If they were created as pre-recorded video (or even an animated image file with no sound) and saved on the player's system so they don't interrupt background downloading of data, that shouldn't influence load times. There would be a bit of HDD space used for it, but I doubt it would be more than 1GB if they used the right format. Might be difficult to keep the videos up to date with the changing nature of the game though... |

That's actually an awesome idea. Also, if you're at it, take another idea from killzone 3: at the end of the match, there is a humiliation of the best players on the losing team by the best players of the wining team. BTW, I'm currently playing Killzone 3 and I got humiliated : < |

Hey bro need a bump up?
I would get not only a kick out of this but a few lols if also our name is displayed over certain figures so we can see our selfs all awesome looking (and that what made theses kinda things fun)
P.S uncharted 3 did this aswell and now far cry 3 I believe did something of this nature with end moves
EDITO forgot to mention...theses shouldn't be loading screens and should actually be just before match things....otherwise we will have that one loading from XCOM enemy unknown >_> and hopefully with theses the matchmaking will be fixed and we will join war room lobbys much more, just like in the early builds |

Regarding the OP, I love this idea. Back when the 360 first came out and I played Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, one of the aspects of it that impressed me the most was how all load periods were hidden behind either cutscenes or pre-loaded helicopter gunning sequences. Really enhanced the immersion and kept the gameplay fluid. |
