All of these elements, weapons, suits, modules, equipment, are dependent on your style of gameplay. If you really can't figure that out it's probably best to stick with an Assault using what guns you find most useful or even just fun to use.
I wont make suggestions except that it's really something you need to choose on your own based on what gets you the biggest thrill and sense of fulfillment from the game. That's all on you and nobody else can tell you what will make you the happiest or enjoy the game as much as possible but yourself just figuring things out.
Don't worry about lost skill points, just keep with it, keep experimenting. We're really lucky to get to play so much so early as it lets us all get a chance to experiment and have an idea of what to focus on when we startup in final build, and what we may roll up later as secondary or support skills. |

Supporting Free Healing's comments, as I often do.
From your other post on the AR's it definitely seems you're leaning toward a forward assault suit runner.
Sniper would be a good fallback or if you're just goofing around, which is how I use it on my primary. My alt is actually spec'd into them and shotguns for both range and stealth infiltration.
As you've pointed out with AR's being how they are now, more strategy and stronger tactical base will prevail more often in confrontations.
As for Sidearm, I'm a fan of the SMG, but only because if I'm in a suit that has a sidearm, I'm using an AR - this continues to be my primary, even on my primary Logi suits - which is still a strong weapon at the ranges a pistol reaches. I only jump on the SMG when I'm within spitting distance of an enemy which is what it's for.
Pistol is good if you've got the patience and gun-game, especially with it's headshot multiplier, but overall the SMG is a somewhat more flexible sidearm due to it's massive ROF and magazine size. Without sidearm rapid reload maxed your pistol can be the death of you if you don't actually finish your target off with one magazine.
General suggestions remain: Circuitry for +5% CPU Engineering for +5% PG Shield Boost 4 for recharge and unlocking: Shield Control for +5% Shield Field Mechanics for +5% Armor
These are just solid passive SUIT skills to help keep you alive. As for weapons, again, it all boils down to what is most effective for you and what you have the most fun with.
Chromosome Skill names, hah.
I apologize if this isn't as long-winded and in-depth as most of my other posts :P |
