I haven't understood peoples obsession with Iron sights. It's funny how thats one of the most vocal requests. I hear that request more than bug fixes. |

1 you would use optical sights as your not looking out a face plate your looking thru cameras so iron sights are pointless
2 I think the heavy in the third pic has one of the new plasma weapons |

I don't understand the fascination with iron sights either. Most people attach red dot or 4x sights anyway. Every gun can have iron sights as long as they allow you to attach camera or red dot or 4x sights. |

Surley people would prefer a x2 red dot or holo type sight, made a thread about some time ago , just cant get my head around the difficulty ccp seem to be having to give people some limited configure option on there weapons. |

I'm excited because iron sights is the natural first step in weapon customization. This means that although they currently lack a weapon customization ability , they can force one by just having stock weapon with iron sights. This small gesture gives a tremendous amount of hope for weapon design. Holos, red dots, 3.4x, etc are just around the corner now.
It's revealing about the nature of dust gun development in that you just can't "turn off" the camera ads
Additionally, scopes should require pg and CPU. Iron sights are hardly an optimal sight in terms of field of view but adding scopes should take up load stats ... If you choose to use more modules and don't put modules into your ar, you'll have the disadvantage of using iron sights |

Iron sights also deal with some insane AR range issues,then its a little harder to just point the dot at enemy, and WAM stuck by every shot at nigh max range. however most people will upgrade fast im sure. |

It's already been confirmed that we'll be able to customize weapons. I would assume minmatar sights will be available for ARs. |
