It seems French players are one of the worst to play against for connection and hit detection problems,
I had the problem of running up behind an "unknown Frenchie" putting a full clip into him only for him to turn around and slap me in the face then shoot me repeatedly until i died :(
Its even worse than playing on US servers somtimes |

It's really strange that you mention this today. I was playing late last night when I suddenly realised that the worst games I play seem to be against 'French' players. Exactly the same problems as you described.
I was going to post something about this last night, but could not be arsed to log on.
I am going to monitor this problem over the next few days to see if it is directly linked to the *cough* 'French'  |

I have to agree, though those Quebec guys are kinda funky too. I'm sure they have the same troubles when fighting us though. They're just used to how it effects them.

Meode.. we've told you, you have to hit the player not the ground around them, bullets don't work like those missiles you love. xD
But yeah, I've noticed a bit of lag playing against anyone not from the UK.. apart from the russian players ^_^ |

Alot of the people observing the heavy lag aint US players i aint and a few european corp mates have noticed issues hitting french players so its not just me and iam from europe so its not the servers as far as i can tell, there apears to be some lag issues on a line somewhere,

But someting is in the air. Few days ago, i got mail form someone WTFB after match.
Something about 'You laggy bastard'. That day all run smoothly and noone from my guys got laggy moments.
(Anyway i'm mayby uexpected but i'm form right bed ;)
Ok. Now let french ppl tell what ping you got to UK servers.
We can track ips operator that got laggy connections. |

I know who it was and it is for sure a French player. Also it is not just one French player i have encounterred this with either.

WTF was the worst i've seen when it came to this and i heard the same from other folks.
the mintue a TF guy came over a hill, the game lagged like a lag switch from bc1 and kicked back on after the guy had fired.
was very weird.
never saw it with any other group, but saw it consistently with them.
explanations would be appreciated.

Russia has the same problem, 8 shots from a rare sniper rifle would never be successful, Point Blank Shot from a shotgun 0 damage. This happens very often. This is an obvious problem with PING
I think it's time to have a new version of the game, and all points reset. |

This thread is an ovservation i had playing against French players, I dont seem to have the same issuse against players from other nations. Its not all French players so it might just be a certain region of France, i dont know.
Like Tony said maybe its somthing CCP can look into on there end or wether its just players from that region.

Well, I think we're playing a FPS the way we like it and we're good at it. At this moment he's favorable for infantry, and we're playing infantry. You just seem to learn a little bit more about aiming (and I'm not a very good one at it, I use to play logi role)

Works both ways. I once fought you guys on the 5 point map and you made my game lag so bad, that I could not even fire my shotgun. You full frontally knifed me near E-D CRU in that match -- I've seen you charging them in 2fps speed, heard the sound, but could not do a thing -- I almost broke my DS3 in rage. Funny thing -- the game only lagged when I was near you guys, when I roamed the map on the other end -- smooth kitten. Unfortunately you had your entire russian squad with 4 or more randoms running around, which made it tad difficult to enage... 2fps is more like reading a graphic novel, than playing a game. Shotgun that doesn't want to fire is not helpful either.
I also had few problems with WTF, SI and random peeps, and it's especially infuriating when I go against shottys (steli0s, chris ch) and my shotty does nothing despite shield flash or doesn't shoot at all. I had few run-ins with the dark cloud, where I unleashed 3 slugs of my crg3/k5 in the back of his head from 2m and he just turned around and killed me, taking his sweet time. Usually I take PRO suits in at most two. These times there was exactly 0 damage delivered. I mean what's the point of running behind people to execute them if in the end your weapon is full of blanks? I might have just skilled AR, like everybody else. ;-)
The funny thing -- ping to EU server from where I live is consistent 48ms at all times. Not perfect, but playable. I get it -- it's beta and sometimes network just pisses itself, but sometimes I've got a really great match and there is one or two people that can not be killed, even when blow delivered would kill a heavy -- they just take their time to kill you like it was nothing.
And I'm not QQing, "it's all in the game, y'all" as King Omar used to say. It's just that sometimes I just start avoiding some guys I'd normally take at, because it looks like they are having too much fun with their lag. |

that's true, but honestly every time i see a guy that runs fast in front of me or close to me in some way the entire game lags as hell, just like when you are close to a forge gunner. Btw, I'm italian and I don't see anything strange in french connection. I had some really nice matches with Gloo Gloo today and everything was "fine", and for fine i mean that the game was laggy as always, nothing strange.
Tbh i don't think "french guys" lag (traky, stellios, gloo gloo, itchi etc) and their ping should be way lower than mine, for example, in southern italy (i just did 80 ms in uk is that normal??? -.-"), it's just the game "laggy" as hell, and hit detection sucks. That's it imho.

My corp have members from Spain, Venezuela, M+¬xico, EEUU, Colombia, Japan, Puerto Rico, El Salvador etc, and we talked exactly the same betwen us, when french people are in the game, THE GAME have lag.
Of course, another thing is that they can also be good players, Im not speaking about this.

Ok guys I am locking that one. Not too sure where this is going and not really liking the attack towards a specific community of players.
Lags will affect everyone depending on the location of the Client/Server and has nothing to do with the players being french or from any other nationality. Very possible that the issue was isolated due to that particular players network more than anything else so let's not generalise that :)
