Yes, this would be a good skill. Useful, but doesn't make it easier for vets to kill new players. +1
The point about suit speed affecting it is also a good point, can't tell if it is already like that or not. +1
Letting us climb ladders by moving/jumping into them would also be nice, as I've said before in every ladder topic I've seen. |

Remove the press.button to climb. It's a hassle.

Nay on the climb ladder deal. Accidently clinging to a latter when sprinting for dear life is a big no no in my book.
But yay on the climb speed variants. |

It wouls be a 1x skill, and perhaps would give a 10% increase to ladder climbing speed per level? 5% seems too little for a relatively specific and only useful in a certain situation skill.
I think i would be hard to make climbing ladders OP... lol |

I want an option to LET GO while climbing and just fall.
It sucks to be caught by a sniper and have NO options that make any difference beyond "die in one shot with no option to defend yourself" or "die in two shots if you get lucky, still with no option to defend yourself" |

Press X when climbing a ladder and you'll let go, but you'll most likely die from fall damage. |

Even a mobility skill that would allow you to "sprint" (i.e. climb faster while expending stamina) would be an enhancement.

also regardless of the above things like suit movement speed should be taken into account when climbing. |

Perhaps allow scout and assault suits to slide down a ladder. It would be useful for when you are high enough to take good chunk of health off but low enough to not be able to use your inertia dampener.
...Actually on second thought, maybe we should just be able to use our inertia dampeners sooner.
But sliding would still be cool  |
