5/1/13 EDIT: word has reached me that the NDA may be lifted VERY soon, however im currently on holiday in france (just arrived 10 mins ago) so if it hits before saturday i may have to delay it
Now as it happens this is not a rant against the NDA as most people already know about my feelings towards it (somewhat silly at this point but will respect it regardless)
Anyway! I have decided that on the moment that DUST 514's NDA is lifted, I will be doing a livesreamed 24 hour Dust marathon to raise funds for the charity "Child's Play" that help children across the world who are hospitalised by bringing a little bit of joy into their lives through video games.
Its a great charity and a lovely cause, but there are other ways you can get involved! I will have a donation thing on the page and all of the proceads will go to Child's Play but do you know how we can make this even better? By having multiple streams!
Ill be setting up a page on our corps website, as there are a few of us who want to get involved, with links to pages for anyone who would like to also do a livestream, though for the sake of the event i'd ask for all the donations to be pointed at one counter so we can see exactly how much was raised.
So come on CCP! Lift the NDA and let us kill for the kids! |

DarkShadowFox, who pissed in your cereal? Im just calling for people to support a charity event, if you are not interested fine. Im sure (i hope) there are lots of people who would love to take part in this for charity. |

Mainly because this is Dust 514 and id like as many bunnies to get involved as possible. This isnt really to shame them into lifting the NDA, just that when it does we can do something meaningful and make it a big deal. |

No but NDA is there for a reason, if you were making a good game and I went and blabbed about everything in it including what your using to make it, your tools, your programs and your in game content you'd get very pissed.

Its awesome that so many peeps want to get involved in this! Hopefully we will be able to raise loads of money for charity!

Part of the point is that we dont yet know when it will happen, however what i will need to know is what service you will be using to stream, Im using twitch as its free and easy. just send me a mail with where i can find the video stream you will be using and if possible an embed code. |

Thanks for all the kind words guys, if we work together, when the time comes i bet we can really make an impact for the day the NDA is lifted and raise loads of money for charity.
It really warms my heart to see, aside from the idiot and the inevitable negativity from an imperfect, so many people wanting to get involved.

no, not scamming, scamming ingame is onething, stealing money meant to go to a charity is just illegal and would get me in a world of **** with paypal.
