So i was Looking at the EVE, Dust 514 Info forums and one of the First thing i find are there post bashing dust, Mostly for it being on ps3 and not pc, or for being a FPS. I would like some help on how to inform these people in a polite and courteous manner about all the nice and interesting things Dust 514 has to offer but I am not sure on where to start with out starting a giant flame war and only wish to stop the bashing. I would appreciate any and all well thought out responses with you stomping on to many Toes. >.> but really i wanna get at these people for having such Fallacious arguments.

Not going to work. It will take over a year for Eve players to finally take us seriously, thus we have to first earn their respect. |

On the PS3 vs PC thing, it opens the EVE galaxy (?) to a new community to of players. If they don't like it, they'll get hit by the bus fueled by piles of ISK and resources gained from planets. |

EVE is not the only place Dust is getting bashed. Try talking to people in COD, or BUTHURT3. So much hate...so, so much hate. |

no one will ever take dust bunnies seriously.
i would be surprised if faction warfare actually takes off. no one wants to ruin faction standings and limit trade. |

I'm new to the community. What kind of hate is it? I've seen bits and pieces of it (Mostly just people saying it looks like Halo, or how it should be on PC) but what has everyone else got against it? |

The hate is generally (but not solely) twofold;
1 - that it is only on the PS3 not on PC
"Waaaaah!!! Why should I have to buy a console to play it?"
2 - that it will somehow "dilute" the purity that is Eve Online
"Dustbunnies don't care about the big picture of Eve and how complex it is..."
My personal counters to those are
1 - CCP made the choice to get some of the COD pie, get over it (HTFU). CCP have also NEVER ruled out a PC port.
2 - There are a hell of a lot of Eve players who don't care about the 'big picture' and just play for fun, like any other game. There are and will be a hell of a lot of Dust players who DO/WILL care. |

i can criticize a company for doing that all damn day. bigger companies have tried to do that and failed multiple times. over hundreds of millions of dollars were spent pursuing that pipe dream.
if they want the COD audiance that is their own fault for seeking failure. |

true, I wouldnt want to kill my fellow players in corps, I dont want to ruin or be ruined, were all a community, were all gonna be nice to each other cause people are so against us. ._. sounds like lots of things... |
