It's terrible right now. I remember back in the older builds this year, it was alot faster. Maybe boosters should be re-introduced for a while. I'm not asking for much, just some extra help which everyone in the Dust community could use. |

Yeah it's awful. The SP cap at it's current state is stupid.
There was a suggestion from a player, who's name escapes me, which made total sense. Have a look on the forums for the suggestion.
CCP should look into it.

I was looking at it like you just wanted to increase how much SP is received from a match. I was thinking "I thought the thing people hated was the Cap? Wouldn't this just decrease the time it takes to reach it?", which was not the case. |

would you also like CCP to wipe your a$$ for you as well ? Yes, SP can be a drag to get at times when you hit the massive grind, but we all do it w/o having to make a topic on it.
Reason SP is as it is, is b/c this is how SP will be upon full release (more or less). In the older builds we were getting 4x the SP.
So if you want more SP there is a simple thing to do ... PLAY

it lacks a feeling of acheivement. Which i am not sure there is any way to fix that without completely redoing the system. Its just...

Right now we are 2 months into this build, actually a little bit more and what does it look like? Most people are very far into their respective skill trees. This game upon release will not reset sp every month like it used too, so the sp must be gained slower. however there will be many more skills and racial weapons to skill into making what would be the current to fast sp imo to be just about right. |

There has to be a system in place to curb SP gains. Not all of us that like playing DUST have time to grind for hours until we are only getting 27 SP per match. Besides...they are returning to a daily cap soon. That will help those of you looking for more SP. |

i like how things are now, right now we have a 500k sp cap (or around there anyway). that cap gets reset every wednsday and it helps keep things from getting out of control. its a system that still lets "hardcore" players get fully rewarded if they play often, but at the same time it prevents those very same players from getting out of control. i mean..... if everyone this build had proto suits already, then new people would pick the game up and absolutely hate it, so im happy things are how they are.
the only thing i think that could improve this system, is make it so that theres a default amount of skill points you earn every match, for example if they made it so that 5k was the minimum per match towards the end of the week, then things wouldn't be nearly as bad...... |

The diminishing returns is to help people who can't play the game constantly keep up with the crowd. A Daily cap will do just the opposite, anyone who can play for hours on end every day will get by far, more SP then someone who works a full time job and has a family.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR, is an SP system that doesn't go from 20k sp a match to 5k sp a match in just two hours. What CCP needs to do is smooth out the curve on their diminishing returns. A solution is found here: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=45279&find=unread

Yes the SP grind is horrible we've all talked about it and we've all complained...sooner or later we will be going back to the daily cap, check the weekly feedback.
Though i know we will actually gain SP slower upon launch it doesn't bother me as much as it used to as i've realised that upon release we will have more game modes, and PVE and other fun things to passify time untill the cap resets if you've already hit your low. |

I hate it. I got lvl 5 grenades 1 mil SP wasted. I got no 30day boosters = 1.5 mil less than those who did use boosters. I can't play because of low sharpshooter skill lvl 4 & AR proficiency. It's actually at the point where I dont want to play, because it seems my guns do **** all except vs nOObs. There is no feeling of satisfaction in gaining SP or using higher level gear |

Yeah, tbh I think the whole diminishing eeturns thing is just another case of trying to protect the casuals. I don't have time to play 24/7, and there are still people that have waaaayyyy more SP than me, and I will never catch up. I would rather earn the same amount of SP every match and advance further than be hamstrung by the dim. returns.
Tbh, I could actually care less if they did away with a daily SP cap, and you earned te same amount of SP every match if you did the same thing. Just add a ton more skills so people have stuff to do a year or more down the road, and we are fine. |

Go the EVE way most of the community will hate it, go the cap way the 'hardcore' will complain that they hit the cap too early, go no cap and you have 'casuals/working' players complain that they get left behind and a bigger gap opens up
They cannot solve this problem where everyone is happy

They can. Simple rolling cap. Which boosters don't break. It's not hard, I suggested it in a bit more detail elsewhere. It's so simple. Everyone gains SP every game. Everyone can catch the top SP bracket. Everyone is happy, actives & passive boosters providing a decrease in time played instead of just saying "**** you skank" to players like me who DON'T want to use boosters. I want to play, but there's just no point. |

when the game comes out, they want it to take us 7 years to completely unlock and upgrade everything, the only thing i say they change is make to minimal gain at 1000 instead of zero |
