loosing faith in CCP so just going to post one thread about what i think the game needs and let what few forum goers left duke it out.
1. nerfing missile without making a effective AI weapon is problematic it doesnt mean they no longer OP just means thereGÇÖs no point to them.
2. for some reason its difficult to aim on this game and no matter how much i tweak the stats i keep overshooting my target or the stupid thing wont move when i try to do some finite adjustment. ---allowing us to adjust sensitivity for both ADS and hipfire would be good rather than just adjusting it for both together. ---at the very edge on the stick it should automatically go to the highest sensitivity so you can turn just as fast as other people allowing people to tweak their sensitivity to their level but not handicapping them
3. lack of control of grenades as all ways bother me more ways to direct them before their thrown would be wonderful it bothers me to no end when my merc lobs a grenade in a small hallway and the stupid thing hits the roof and drops to my feet (I havenGÇÖt played in while so this story might be out dated but I havenGÇÖt heard anything about changes to that so I doubt it) ---i think a quick tap of the grenade button should do a under handed toss while holding it for anytime would do a normal toss..
4. a major issue with vehicle balance is how they fit into the game they need to be powerful but require a fair amount of effort to function them on the battlefield ---separate main turret so regardless it is a two man operation and you trust your gunner if you dont trust blueberrys find a corpmate you shouldnGÇÖt be able to run a HAV in a match without team wide effort to gain that power. --- make them have finite ammo itGÇÖs ok if somethingGÇÖs is powerful if its very limited --- return Large missile turrets to the way the were and make small missile turrets fire single version of the large turrets missiles.(for you that donGÇÖt know the large turret missile were reasonable but it fired 4 at once where as the small turret fire better missile which was the problem) some tweaking to radius would be good, but we need a capable AI weapon --- small blaster should have the same or slightly less DPS than HMG large should have more.
4.5 more AV option and better ways to control vehicle, tank barricades, tire spike(something that damage the vehicle not just blows out the tires) jammers webifers etc
5. dropships should be able to land better and take off and should have stats that reflect their need to land and take off, speed and maneuvering does them no good when landing HP is the way to go. also fixing some of the physics for them like getting throw when you get out is a problem that should be address. and dropships should get knocked about as much as they do when missile hit them
6 vehicles should be quick escapes there should be animations and you should be vulnerable when getting in and out of vehicles.
thats my opinion take it with a grain of salt the game

1_ Blasters are effective AI weapons, I watched my little brother dominate and massacre infantry with a large blaster on his gunlogi in Ambush.

3_ Grenade throws do suck, yes.
4_ I'm neutral towards the seperate gunner/pilot seats, and I'm slightly leaning against the limite ammo for turrets, but large missile turrets may have been overnerfed, but they were nerfed for a reason; they were OP. I think they should get a spash radius increase, but damage as well as other stats shouldn't be changed. Try blasters as an anti-infantry large turret.
4.5_ Pilot dropsuit will buff vehicles, as well as some unknown other effect. Webifiers were confirmed to be coming since Fanfest 2012, they will come.
5_ Agreed.
6_ I'm guessing you meant "shouldn't be quick escapes", minor issue, but I agree.
All these issues have been brought up before, so it might have been best to just bump existing threads with your personal feedback instead of creating this thread. Kind of an odd time to start losing faith. I would understand if there was a new build out that failed to address all these issues, and thus showed their inability as developers, but a new build isn't out yet, so why now? |
