Why not just create a thread where everyone can post the time they want a battle and then demand CCP starts a battle for everyone at the time they stated.
Battles will be timed by CCP ... they have all the data and know what time will provide the most or most valuable data they are looking for from this event.
When you miss it ... don't forget to make a new post crying and stating you "told them to time it to suit you" |

I'd have to say the same about your reply ... you obviously didn't read my post properly.
I didn't say you had demanded anything ... I suggested you make an alternate post.
I also made no mention of CCP data providing information on people's work schedules ... what I said was that they know the best times to run these events to get the best spectrum of results they want.
This isn't about "benefiting the players" it's about testing a game in development and we all want to see it released sooner rather than later. Scheduling events to suit a minority of players would require extensions of each event over a longer period to get the same quantity of data thus prolonging the development process.
Finally I'm not sure what post history has to do with the relevance of this thread ... but I do have something constructive for you ... If you want to 'request' event scheduling be adjusted for future events or maybe provide 'feedback' on previous event schedules that didn't suit you then there is an entire forum section entitled 'Feedback & Requests' ... otherwise this is a general discussion and I've pointed out why CCP schedule events to suit themselves and not the testers.
Edited : Also your thread has been on page 1 for over 4 hours and the only responses have been an irrelevant change of discussion and a like for my reply. |

Lol, keep bumping your fail thread ... it still won't get any support.
As for the name calling and derogatory or belittling comments ... some pretty childish behavior coming from a "man" |

Thank you SoTa ... granted my initial response was a bit off hand ... It's very tiring seeing so many posts of people wanting things done to suit them rather than for the better of the game or efficiency of its development.
Sometimes it seems the best way to get the message across is in an abrupt manner. |

Respect for your last reply ... as you said, had I scanned your previous posts I probably wouldn't have been so harsh, but in my defense I take each thread on its own merit and checking peoples history before replying to anything would be a bit much, though granted if I'm going to be harsh like that I might have a quick check in future.
You're right, these forums have lost a lot of participants, I'd say partially due to the troll replies but also due to countless troll threads and irrelevant and down right dumb threads (not saying yours fell in those categories). I joined the beta around May before it was opened outside of the Eve subscribers and back then the forum was 99% constructive, then the console community joined and over time it's devolved into about a 75/25 % split in favor of the rubbish. I'm not bashing you or anyone in particular for joining from the console family, but sadly that's what's happened.
I've even looked back at some of my post history since this thread and most of my posts have been constructive or helpful, though there are a few trolls, sometimes in obvious troll threads or even good ideas put forward in a selfish way (as in the vehicle recall thread, as I told him) or when there is a clear or obvious argument against the idea (though as you say, in those cases, a quick history check could be worth while).
I honestly don't take any offense by what people say, it's like water off a ducks back as they say, sticks and stones and all that, I'm old enough to be past caring if someone dislikes me, move on, life does.
But I do respect someone who can be the first to apologise ... hat tip for that ... and I too am sorry for providing a troll response where I could have just stripped it down to "weekends are more active and provide most data"
No hard feelings ... but I'll still kill you if you're a red dot lol |
