1. You post a thread that comes across as nothing more than a rant.
2. You post a thread that contains inappropriate language just to convey said rant. Case in point: Someone just recently posted a thread using an anti-gay slur just to say "get rid of redline so I can get to tanks".
3. You don't include any detailed suggestions with well thought out logic as to why you want [insert demand here].
4. You disrespect CCP and their staff.
5. Claim that they don't listen when in fact they have (see Feedback and Technical sections of the forums).
6. Your post is NOT constructive nor professional in any way.
All CCP will do is just ignore your post. In some cases even delete it and slap a 404 label on it like this one: [insert 404 page here]
==============================================
CCP will listen to you if...
1. You post a thread that is calm, concise, and polite.
2. Thread doesn't contain inappropriate language (at least not the sort that crosses the line).
3. You include detailed suggestions and you have done your homework on the matter to back up said suggestion.
4. You respect the Devs and GM.
5. Your post is constructive.
==============================================
It's not that hard. CCP is not like Blizzard, Microsoft, Infinity Ward, EA games, SOE, etc. where they cater to the lowest common denominator. They don't bend over for you just because you posted a rant. As long as you help them, they will help you and all of us. If you don't help them and all you do is post demands and rants, then what the frakk are you doing here? |

Nothing to do with likes. I'm a beta tester, not a forum warrior. If that was the case, I would have gone to the Something Awful Forums or the Fail Heap Challenge forums. |

Crm234 wrote:that sounds good once again in words , but put in the context of this beta is once again non sense. Your basically proud that your testing a cracked sample any data collected now is void from exploit, and outdated code. the testing process to crack this build was accomplished a month and half ago. I would say your right if Dust was updated every week and tweaked but its not , its done by build. We are way past the conclusion part of this build now and the atmosphere shows it everyday.
CCP is still collecting data. Why else do you think they are hosting these events even now?I got better things to do than to continue this argument with you about what is considered nonsense. |

I think you confused CCP with EA. |

. . .
that IS wierd. . . You are saying that you got a dev to respond in 9 of your 12 bug reports? There isn't even one dev response on the entire front page of this forum right now, and dev responses are so rare I am shocked whenever I spot one. I've made as many bug reports with well detailed calm information, and not a single response. Then i made a single one filled with rage, still not one response-- it doesn't seem to make any difference.
I'm sorry, do you want CCP to waste time arguing with you instead of focusing on fixing the game? |

Forum rules apply (Like on any other forum) to all members and by ignoring them people only make all the information posted less accessible and readable for us all hence why there is some moderation being done from time to time.
CCP isn't making a game to be played by CCP employees but by you guys so trust me when I say nothing valuable is being ignored :)
I think the key word here is "valuable".
Thanks for posting here, Vegas. Nice to see you every now and then. |

Look here for their weekly post lol, https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=34746&find=unread

Crm234 wrote:I think the lack of a new build in such a long time and the devs knowing the problems but choose to work on other stuff when releasing the build we have right now has made those links more of "ill believe it when I see it" mentality . Even the Dust has so much potential loses all meaning over time after hearing it for the 1000 time and having no proof why.
CCP never established set intervals for any build we tested. That is something we players have established ourselves through our own will. We circulate rumors and speculation without a lick of evidence and thus people like us fall for them and become angry at CCP every time we don't get what we hear from the rumors.
Funny enough we dismiss what was actually stated by CCP and when CCP does something we suddenly crucify them over it. How is a gaming company suppose to work with a player base like that? |

Crm234 wrote:Yes because CCP doesn't have to do anything , not even update their beta that has been delay or in production the same amount of time a person would get a bachelors degree in.Really I hate saying the word Fan boy , but trying to justify no progress in over 2 months and not understanding why people are weary of a new game developer after this amount of time is crazy.
The players didn't tell CCP to release in builds making so much anticipation and hype to make or break this beta. Also beta players don't get upset because its not perfect , just that it doesn't change and slowly politeness changes into What the crap then to ahhh screw it.
I'm not trying to justify no progress. There is progress. It's just freaking slow as hell. You don't see me going around posting threads say "CCP, WHY YOU NO HURRY?". As if comments like that are going to make things go faster.
Before I let you continue, consider this...
Me, and the many others here in the forums have publicly commented that CCP should actually take their time to ensure that things go well. I, among others here, am glad CCP is taking our advice and taking their time rather than rush things out the window. This is their first FPS game after all with a huge ambition. They don't want to mess this up because haste will make waste out of both Dust and Eve. They learned that the hard way with Incarna.
I guess you can blame me and others for the delay and your impatience. Again, we would rather they take their time to get things fixed. |
