Its sad that we even have to have this thread because we looked at Dust as MAG 2 and more but never factor it maybe Dust didn't want to be a FPS.
I really hope this next build is good because right now the direction of this game is spiraling RPG with a different camera angle. Grinding, drilling people in the head 20 times and it doesn't kill them and its not lag. The market and skill system reflect a RPG progression and not a FPS progression.
You really gotta ask yourself if the only players that like your game have never player a FPS before or only know COD is a FPS versus players that are big into FPS games or stayed with a FPS game for years despite when people say it sucks have major concerns. is the beta going in the right direction then.
Yes i know that Eve and dust will connect and its never been done before , but im not crazy enough to believe that a free to play game will truly effect a subscription base game that brings in money and is there only other release according to Wikipedia.
PS I am in this Beta because I want to play Dust and see CCP succeeded |

That is the type of comment that is usually said before a game becomes dead itself. Even the game in question had the same attitude as well and it lost more players then it gained. The same type of thinking was used in the Battlefield 3 beta and it failed as well, when ever you give a player a ultimatum 90% percent of the time they just leave because the video game market is very large. As much as I hate the game you know what game never has that attitude Call of Duty and out sells every year grabbing new players. |

Im not going to have a Call of Duty defend or bash back and forth with you because i don't like Call of Duty but respect its ability to keep old players and add new players. With a free to play model you would think they would want to get everyone in model then start isolating players. Right now its just not the Mag population but the FPS fan base that really don't like Dust with the Mag population the loudest because every other game has a sequel or dlc released.
My comment was to stfu and gtfo not the thread
Yes Zipper and Sony screwed us , but im hoping CCP doesn't get on that list to me. |

Icy Tiger wrote:MAG was/is a terrible game. It was heavily copied from CoD, there was never actually 200+ people that actually worked together, clan system wasn't there, it had **** graphic, you got killed in 3 bullets, the game was crap, and failed terribly. It was a generic fps.
May I ask what you think was not a generic shooter? because I never thought it was a copy of COD at all and in fact felt it was influence by many different games.
like planetside and battlefield 2 I would say
No kill streaks, No perks system, Had more players, a weight system, a stat tracking system. a skill system, 30 sec spawn time, larger maps, squads and command structure, NPC driven transports that worked like transports, a sense of im in a group not alone, objective base win strucure , and 30 min long matches.
Even bf3 graphics were just ok for 24 players, so graphics wise they were far better with even just 128 players then the average PS3 title
