750g 32mb cache 7200rpm seagate for 144 dollars. Installing all the stuff that I lost. I mess up transferring the data over to the new hardrive. So I'm installing everything. Good thing I have ps plus member. All saved data are saved. Cant wait to use it for Dust 514 and Skyrim, or any other games that causing a pop in textures |

Do you need the space? Cause for $144 or less, you could have gotten a really good 120 GB SSD (100% SSD).
From what I know of Hybrid drives, is that it's a regular HDD with a SSD acting as a big cache. Did some searching about the Momentus XT, and from the results the performance is on par with a WD Caviar Black (which is a HDD, not SSD).
You will get a performance boost over the stock PS3 HDD since the Hybrid is 7200 RPM, but it is not even close to SSD performance. Unless you need that kind of capacity, you should get a refund and buy a real SSD.
And don''t get it from Best Buy either, as you will just get ripped off. Go online, like Amazon or Newegg. Same drive you got is being offered on Amazon for $129, and at Newegg it's $129 as well. Most good 120GB SSD drives on Amazon are hovering around $100.
