They want to say its f2p but we know better.30 day actives and passives and the dedicated player will keep moving leaving the average player in the Dust....you only have to read post like this one https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=46489&find=unread and realize that if they dont segregate the newbs and give us PVE and get better at the wp(bring the rep back)team heals for nano hives, fix the sensor modules so they pay some kind of wp....then we the 1500 of us a year from now will think were are king **** of a "ghost town".Maybe when it get bundled with the PS4 then we will see a massive influx...but it depends if CCP segregates them so they dont get stomped.Maybe the dedicated will recruit and the rest of us originals will be like special forces standing out from the masses...but dont get your hopes up.
My god, you really have no concept of how CCP does things, do you?
I g curb stomped daily for months when I first started playing EVE. Guess what, 6 years later, I still active. Th learning curve and single server will attract people to Dust gust like it does to EVE

Crm234 wrote:Yes Pc games never die, but can you name me one console game that has been played 6 years straight with no sequel? In addition, this game has to make it on PS3 to get on the PS4 to Sony as well. I don't know numbers and waiting for the next release but I think it will have a niche player base not a major success. Im hoping this doesn't happen though will changes that need to be made.
Honestly, i do believe that a game could last that long on a console. I believe there is a generation of gamers that want there to be more than 'Ooooh.... Shinies' and for their time in game to mean more than just a k/d ratio |

Crm234 wrote:So a dodgie no is your answer, if kdr is in a game it's always going to be about kdr. Why do betas always make rational people lose their common sense. Even this beta is a small reflection sample size of a player base after release and losing numbers
No, to some people it's more war points than k/d radio. I'm a logi and even though I can't get points for half what I do, I still do it. I may not lead the board in k/d (in fact, I'm currently a .52) I still enjoy the role I choose play. If I can help those go 16/1 who can by dropping links and hives, then I will.
It's about the greater good of the group and not the individual. It's pretty much how things work in New Eden. |
