Who exactly do you think deserves "penalties" and what kind?

1. You, for getting yourself killed? You already got penalised. You died, and had your tank stolen.
2. The enemies? Why? For successfully killing you and stealing your tank? What did they do to deserve these penalties? Or did you mean their subsequent death? For which they were penalised by dying already...

I'm not seeing any problems here, except that, if they were awesome with your tank after stealing it, they wouldn't get to keep it. But the fix for that is a REWARD, not a PENALTY.

Oh, right. So you left your tank when you could have gone to the map to mark the objective, and that's somehow your teammates' fault?

Cool story.

Also, how'd a blue dot crush you? There's no friendly fire...

1. No friendly fire means you don't get crushed by a friendly vehicle driving into you, only if it gets dropped on you somehow. So again, how did they achieve that?

2. I'd rather see the game REWARD YOU for giving the tank to a teammate than see it punish them for taking what was left.

3. Do you have any indication that they ran you over deliberately with full knowledge that you'd called in a tank? Because I seriously doubt they had, and the nearby teammates NOT using the tank would probably have turned out worse (enemies hack it, then use it against you).

4. Either you took WAY too long marking the objective, or you were kind of stupid to have been trying to mark it while you had a tank on the way. Also, if you got crushed, you almost HAD to be in a terrible position to be doing whatever you were doing that had you unaware enough not to see a friendly jeep on the minimap.

P.S. sorry about the reading comprehension. It's almost 7am, and I'm not used to being up this late. I've usually been in bed before sunrise lately.

Welcome to new Eden. My first week playing eve someone tricked me into them getting kill rights on me in high sec an proceeded to destroy my starter ship. Dust is going to be the same sandbox style game where the primary rule is there aren't really any rules so watch your back and trust only yourself. You were killed OK. Adapt or die this doesn't deserve any change to game mechanics but rather a change to your game play and tactics.

If you think you had it bad now, wait until friendly fire is finally turned on.

By the way, thank you for the info regarding how players can crush their own team mates. Will be sure to exploit that in no time.

As a tanker i teamkill all the time. Not on purpose though. Just dumb friendly lav drivers crashing into my tank.

someone one in a missle tank they outfitted for speed and health rammed me and another tank upside down (I stayed upright) just so he could be the only HAV on the battlefield...


all because he was backing up not paying attention and me and another player were crusing around and him being a 1337 n00b backs up in the path and gets angry when two people hit him.

Sleep deprivation is plenty of reason for misreading things though. And really, that's the core of where I went wrong.

And not sure why you're bringing domestic violence up in comparison with a minor misunderstanding that got resolved pretty peacefully. That's more rude than anything I've EVER posted in these forums - even the posts I've edited out afterwards because I knew I was taking things too far.

I got a hitlist of ppl that have tried to steal my HAV or ppl that ram it thinking there going to kill it dont relly care if its a red dot but most of the time its bluedots that are haters
