Seems like no real system based rules for it in Ambush. I keep spawning in terrible places during matches. Like RIGHT NEXT TO THE ENEMY!! Why would that continually happen? It makes no sense...if we drop in from spacecraft or our MCC, why can we choose where we drop!? Only a few matches have I started out next to blues, and I'm tired of loosing gear because of a bad spawn system. I'd drop in on a mobile spawn point if people used them... |

Try skilling for Drop Uplinks, you'll get points for players spawning from your uplinks. |

If you play Ambush start off by dropping a few uplinks around the map instead of complaining use the tool's that are avaiable |

The above posters speak wisely. Having a fit with an uplink does worlds of favors for youand your team.;
- Promotes team cohesion. A team that spawns in a well placed location insures that lone spawning becomes improbable. - Passive Skill points adquisition. - Your team will thank you. ;)
From what I have experienced, the most succesfull teams make use of uplinks. After all, random spawning IS a major liability. |

This suggestion doesn't really work anymore, and here's why.If you start the game and spawn with uplinks, that doesn't make you immune from spawning right in front of an enemy and getting shot before you can put one down. The other problem is that since everyone spawns in different, random locations, what will end up happening is that the spawn uplinks end up getting converged on by well organized teams, leaving those that use the uplink to get camped.Teams with more randoms might not catch on,but most of the people that are playing have been playing everyday, and are hip to the uplink strategies. The spawn system is totally broken, and complaining about it is the best way to have it fixed.
Honestly,I think a better strategy is to use uplinks well after the match has started, and in out of reach areas,or somewhat hidden areas. My suggestion to CCP is that they should spit the map in half and each team at the start of the match spawns from a random spot on the far end of their half of the map.Every spawn after that should be completely random spots on each player's respective half of the map.Spawn camping will still be non present, and getting killed 0.8 seconds after you spawn will be as well.

I mean, I get it, but either spawn with "freebie" stuff until someone on your team (you have a team right) throws down a link, or improve your character, build, skills, and equipment.
If it's a super huge deal to you, you always have the option of not spawning until someone throws a link down for you.
Either way, the part where you say "I'd drop in on a mobile spawn point, if people used them...." well, to that I say, "Then get one yourself, throw it down, and score more points." They are free after all.
Or increase your shields/armor/weapon etc. so that when you do spawn in next to a red dot, you kill them.
Seriously though, it takes a real set to complain that no one is doing something you openly admit to not doing yourself.
As a logi, I can tell you how frustrating it is to me, that I not only out-kill you silly blue dots (lots of you), keep the team repaired/in ammo AND spawning safely, but then when I do go down, you don't even take out your injector to pick me back up. "standby... triage detected" blah blah blah. I nearly pass out when someone who's not someone I've ever played with actually picks me up.
Or play Skirmish. Then you can spawn wherever you want. I promise, there's plenty of room for mindless killers in Skirmish too. Just run in the direction I tell ya. Preferably in front of me. = D
Seriously though, sounds like you just need a reliable squad.

1. Do you have the Merc pack?
If so, spend 30AUR on the Militia Drop Uplink (I think it's 30, might be 20), and load a Dragonfly suit with the Uplink, Toxin SMG, and whatever else you want (variable cost in AUR or ISK). You now have a high-speed, high-stamina POTENTIALLY FREE fitting that can run around tossing out Uplinks wherever you want them. If not, go to step 2.
2. Do you have AUR?
If so, spend 80 AUR on blueprints for a Militia Drop Uplink, Militia Sidearm of your choice (if you don't have a preference, go with the Scrambler Pistol), and Militia Shield Extender. Create a new fitting using the "Assault - Triage" Starter Fit as a base. Replace the High Slot Damage Mod with the Shield Extender, and replace the Militia Assault Rifle with whichever Sidearm you bought - the reason I suggested the Scrambler Pistol is because the Sidearm slot already has a Militia SMG, so doubling up is unlikely to be very useful. Now you'll be able to fit the Uplink in the Equipment slot without any trouble. If you're actually playing for free, go to option 3.
3. Do you have ISK?
The fitting from option 2 can be created without the blueprints, using regular ISK gear. It only costs 2020 ISK per restock. Additionally, any of the above fittings can be altered to suit your playstyle as you apply more SP to the relevant skills to increase your PG/CPU availability or reduce the PG/CPU use of your gear. With some early skills, you might be able to fit one of these suits better without even having to start playing.
Lets look at a possible worst-case scenario with the worst of the above options. You die, for argument's sake... 10 times. Pretty bad, right? You get a 50,000 ISK paycheck. That's well over DOUBLE what you paid for these fittings. You spawn in 10 times, get maybe a couple of assists, or team spawns, and you die every time without killing anyone. That's usually enough to give you 50k.
Best-case? You spawn in, set up an uplink, then get yourself to a Supply Depot and swap out for another fitting. Afer doing this, you go beast-mode and slaughter the enemy team for a while, hacking occasionally Depots and Turret Installations as you go. Every time a teammate dies, they spawn at your Uplink, quickly draining it of uses (10 uses on Militia Uplink). So you return to a friendly Supply Depot again, swap back into your Uplink fitting, and set a new Uplink to help your team hold that Supply Depot. This, of course, works, because it's a best-case scenario and everything is going in your favour constantly. The enemy team is horribly destroyed, you run 20-0 or better, your Uplink fitting costs you NOTHING even if you manage to die in it, and you spent no money to get a HUGE pile of WP bonuses (2 used-until-drained Militia Uplinks = 500WP if you never have to spawn on them). |

THIS! for the last 5 minutes I've been unable to play a particular game i either spawn in front of a heavy or someone spawns behind me straight after i move, no one appears to be using uplinks...... honestly, until this is fixed, I'm done. I'm a huge CCP fan and have been an eve player for many years, but this is terrible |

They should address spawn camping too.
There are a few individuals out there that like to sit and wait next to an uplink, and even the clone reanimation unit. |

I do hate ambush spawns with a passion. I have resorted to only using militia fits when playing ambush as I am sick of losing my 130K fits just because the god of spawning decided to put me facing a wall and spawn no less then 16 red dots all facing me. Needless so say I think my guy just dies from fright. |

I hate ambush, skirmish is awesome in comparison.
